Course Objectives:

 This course aims to convey knowledge of basic concepts of circuit design for digital VLSI
components in state of the art MOS technologies.
 To provide requisite skills in design, analysis and evaluation of the performance of VLSI
Technology and Applications.
 To understand various advanced technologies for VLSI Technology and Applications.
 Application of this knowledge in design and analysis of modern VLSI Technology and
systems

Course Outcomes:

Students will have the concepts and gain knowledge on

• Basic terminologies used in VLSI Technology and systems.


• Develop essential understanding principles of VLSI Technology and Applications.
• Familiarity with the trend and design consideration of VLSI Technology and
Applications.
• Design CMOS based circuits and systems.
• Understanding a hardware design language such as Verilog in detail - syntax as well as how it
works under the hood for simulation and synthesis.
