INSTRUMENTATION AND CONTROL ENGINEERING
MESSAGE FROM
PRINCIPAL

Being recognised as one of the best Technical Institutions, JSS Academy of

Technical Education, Noida (JSSATEN) is adopting cautiously to the changing
demands of technical manpower at global level. The Academy envisions to
become an Institution of Excellence in imparting quality outcome based education
that empowers young generation with knowledge, skills, research aptitude, ethics
and moral values. The Institutions has been making efforts to strictly implement
OBE by preparing the Faculty members to a system, where they measure the
progress and competencies of the student as they go through a course in each
Semester.

21st century belongs to highly skilled technical manpower with exceptional

knowledge and creative thinking abilities. JSSATE, Noida has put all necessary
steps to impart knowledge and skills using modern teaching-learning methods.
The Campus will soon have a video server where video lectures of all
Undergraduate and Post Graduate Programs, delivered by the Professors from IITs
and IIScs would be made available to the students 24 x 7 through a high-speed Wi-
Fi Networking. This will create ample opportunities to learn the subject at their
own pace on their Laptops and Smartphones.

JSSATEN has attracted more than 83 industries during the year 2014. It strives to
increase the numbers in the coming years. A Centre for Innovation and Design
. caters to all the students to undertake interdisciplinary collaborative projects. The
Institution encourages International Internships Programs with Universities in USA
and France. The Institution also provides ample opportunities for extracurricular
activities.

Prof. Gurulingappa M. Patil

We wish that JSSATEN would be your dream Institutions to fulfil your futuristic
aspiration.

COURSES OFFERED

The Bachelor of Technology in Instrumentation and Control Engineering at JSSATEN, Noida is a

4 year module full-time degree.
First year courses are designed to provide the required underpinning science and mathematics
and a fundamental knowledge of electrical & electronics, manufacturing practices,
engineering mechanics along with the computer programming in C.
Second year courses aims to the introduction of the Instrumentation and Control Engineering
knowledge and to expose students to the breadth of the discipline i.e. Electronic Devices &
Circuits, Digital Logic Design, Signals & Systems, Electromagnetic Field Theory, Network
Analysis and Synthesis, Industrial sociology, Electronic Iinstrumentation & Measurement,
Transducer and sensors, Data Structure & Algorithm, Industrial Psychology. The technical
modules are supported by mathematics, group-design and management.
Third year courses aims to broaden Instrumentation and Control Engineering knowledge with
the areas covering Integrated Circuits, Microprocessors, Control System, Industrial
Management, Digital Signal Processing, Communication Engineering, Microcontroller with
Architecture, Intelligent Instrumentation, Computer Architecture & Organization, Microwave
Engineering, Opto-Electronics, Analog Signal Processing, Electrical Machines along with the
Engineering & Managerial Economics.
The Final Year aims to deepen students knowledge in the two main discipline-based threads.
The one thread covers few areas as Quality Management, Operation Research, Control
System-II, Telemetry Principles, Computerized Process Control, Biomedical Instrumentation,
Optimal Control Systems, Atumoation & Robotics, Non Conventional Energy Resources and
Entrepreneurship Development along with optional areas also. A significant part of the final
year is also dedicated to projects, as second thread. The individual project requires students to
integrate the technical, research and employability skills gained in the earlier levels of the
programme, whilst the group-project requires students to work in small multidisciplinary
groups, on an industrially-focused problem
