“Cooling power of the Climate Wizard was analysed

from temperature reductions of the air flowing

from the Cooler, and from the effect of this

pre-cooled air on the total air entering

the plantroom, with consistent

results. The cooling effect of the

two Climate Wizards was demon-

strated to be as high as 46kW with

hot, dry conditions, representing a

COP (Coefficient of Performance) of

13.3 for each unit (compared with

refrigerative COP’s of around 2-4)”.

Once-in-a-hundred-years breakthrough

It’s a very bold statement - even from a company that has

a global reputation for developing innovations that have
redefined comfort performance and energy efficiency for
well over a quarter of a century. But Climate Wizard is
different. It’s much more than an improvement on
traditional technology. It’s a completely new Cooling
Category that delivers outstanding cooling performance
with previously-unheard-of energy efficiencies.

Independent testing by the Sustainable Energy Centre at

the University of SA has confirmed that this revolutionary
new technology can dramatically reduce electricity
consumption by up to 50% in extreme conditions, when
added to new or existing refrigerated air conditioning
systems. This has aptly been called “Cold Front Cooling” -
It’s the CFC that everybody needs!
In addition, as a stand alone system it delivers air that can
be of similar, and sometimes better quality than
traditional air conditioning systems, and do it at a
fraction of the latter’s running costs.

As Chairman and Founder of Seeley International,

I am delighted to introduce this once-in-a-hundred years
breakthrough and I invite you to experience the
outstanding performance and incredible energy savings
that Climate Wizard can deliver to both new and existing
air conditioning projects, the world over.

The result is Climate Wizard, a product that incor-

which ensures that no moisture is added to the air
entering the conditioned space, and at the same
time it maximises the effectiveness of all of the
elements necessary to best facilitate the heat
exchange process.

Without Climate Wizard

This schematic diagram shows

a typical commercial installa-
tion producing 4,000 l/sec of
conditioned air. The normal
requirement is to have 25% or
1,000 l/sec of fresh air, that is
introduced at an ambient
temperature of 38ºC. This
means the compressor must
expend considerable energy to
cool this fresh air from 38ºC to
13.3ºC - making the total
compressor input power, 28kW.

70kW Refrigerated cooling - normal operation

With Climate Wizard

This diagram is for the same

installation and conditions, but
with the Climate Wizard cooling
the fresh air component prior to
introduction to the return air
stream. The Climate Wizard only
uses 1.8kW to cool the air and
that means the compressor only
needs 16.6kW to condition the
returning air. Therefore the total
power required is only 18.4kW
compared to 28kW in the
original installation – a saving in
this instance of 35%

Climate Wizard Performance

These graphs came from an actual site test implemented by the UNI SA. The red line shows the ambient
inlet air temperature. The blue line shows the outlet air temperature of the Climate Wizard from switch-on
in the early morning to switch-off in the late afternoon, on a typical hot day in Adelaide. Note that as the
outside temperature climbed the Climate Wizard outlet temperature stayed constant.

Comparison of Performance between

Climate Wizard and Refrigerated air conditioning
In this graph the input powers, cooling capacities, and coefficients of performance (COP’s) for both Climate Wizard
and refrigerated air conditioning systems are compared. The performance is referenced to the standard rating
temperature of 35oC, and the percentage change that occurs is plotted as the temperature increases up to 44oC.

Refrigerated systems just get worse and worse

installed cooling capacity, as well as the life of the equipment!
