Before Before you can set up the cooling blocks, you have to set the adjustable slides.
See: Adjustable slides (FF) [9]).
Location The following illustration shows the location of the cooling blocks:

The position is OK if the rapier wheel is in the middle of the slot in the gauge BA238228.
Set the position of the rapier wheel if the position is not OK.
See: Set the rapier wheel [56].

Place or remove thickness plates “E” to change position of the cooling block. Repeat this
action until the markings of the cooling block are in line with the gauge “D”.
Mount the thickness plates that are not used on the front side of the cooling block so they
don’t get lost.
5 Hand tighten the bolts “C”.
9 Place the same amount of thickness plates “I” as used for the upper cooling block and hand
tighten the bolts “H”.
Mount the thickness plates “I” that are not used on the front side of the cooling block so
they don’t get lost.
.
10 Place the terminal pieces “J” on the lower cooling block “G” and hand tighten the bolts “K”.
11 Place the terminal pieces of the lower cooling block on the distances “x” and “y” as the upper
cooling block.
12 Mount the side guide “M” that is closest to the housing on the upper and lower cooling blocks.
Make sure the the side guides are pulled against the stops of the terminal pieces.
13 Place the rapier wheel “N” and hand tighten the bolts “O”.
14 Turn the rapier wheel “N” until a spoke of the rapier wheel is perpendicular to the upper cooling
block “B”.
15 Slide the gauge BA238228 “D” further under the upper cooling block “C” until the teeth of the
rapier wheel “N” fit into the notches.
16 Press the cooling block “C” gently downwards and tighten the bolts “H” crosswise.

17 Turn the rapier wheel “N” until a spoke of the rapier wheel is perpendicular to the lower cooling
block “G”.
18 Slide gauge BA238228 “D” between the lower cooling block “G” and the rapier wheel “N” until
the teeth of the rapier wheel fit into the notches.
19 Press the cooling block “G” gently upwards and tighten the bolts “H” crosswise.

22 Mount the frontal side guides of the upper and the lower cooling blocks against the stops of the
terminal pieces.
Afterwards
Mount lubrication pin Proceed as follows to mount the lubrication pin support:
support 1 Apply Loctite 222 to the bolts “A”.
2 Place the lubrication stick suport “B” + washers “C” and tighten the bolts “A” (1 Nm).

Mounting the LHS Proceed as follows to mount the LHS suction nozzle:
suction nozzle 1 Fit the LHS suction nozzle “A” onto the slide at the RHS of the machine.
2 Tighten the LHS suction nozzle with the bolt “B” and the washer “C”.

The L-support must be parallel with the top of the cooling block.
You have to reset the height of the hoop if the distance between them is not 1,5 mm.
See: Set the height [77].
3 Place the side guide “C”, the washer“B” and tighten the bolt “A”.
