under the wing-to-fuselage fairing;

(b) System 3 is located inside of the rear fuselage, just behind the rear pressure
bulkhead.

(3) Each of the three hydraulic systems contains an accumulator and they are pre-charged
with dry nitrogen gas:

(a) Systems 1 and 2 each have an accumulator with a nominal gas volume of 819 cm3
(50 in3);

(b) System 3 utilizes an accumulator with a nominal gas volume of 1638 cm3 (100 in3).

N. Flight - Crew Oxygen

EFFECTIVITY: ON ACFT WITH 50 CU.FT OXYGEN CYLINDER

(1) The flight-crew oxygen system is a high-pressure gaseous-type, in which the oxygen is
stored in a 1.42 m3 (50 ft3) composite cylinder at high pressure 12755 kPa (1850 psi), and
distributed to three quick-donning masks (pilot, copilot and flight observer) (Figure
1-10-01-6). Each mask has three modes of operation:

EFFECTIVITY: ALL 1-10-01

(a) Normal mode: diluted oxygen;

(b) 100% mode: undiluted oxygen;

(c) Emergency mode: undiluted oxygen with pressure.

(2) The flight-crew oxygen cylinder is installed in the RH front cabin underfloor area with quick
access from the forward cargo compartment (Figure 1-10-01-6).

O. Flight - Crew Oxygen

EFFECTIVITY: ON ACFT WITH 77 CU.FT OXYGEN CYLINDER

(1) The flight-crew oxygen system is a high-pressure gaseous-type, in which the oxygen is
stored in a 2.18 m3 (77 ft3) composite cylinder at high pressure 12755 kPa (1850 psi), and
distributed to three quick-donning masks (pilot, copilot and flight observer) (Figure
1-10-01-6). Each mask has three modes of operation:

(a) Normal mode: diluted oxygen;

(b) 100% mode: undiluted oxygen;

(c) Emergency mode: undiluted oxygen with pressure.

(2) The flight-crew oxygen cylinder is installed in the RH front cabin underfloor area with quick
access from the forward cargo compartment (Figure 1-10-01-6).

P. Passenger Oxygen

EFFECTIVITY: ALL
(1) The passenger oxygen system consists of chemical oxygen generators and continuous-
flow masks installed in proper dispensing units. The dispensing units are located in the
PSU, galley area, lavatories, and flight attendant stations (Figure 1-10-01-6).

(2) An altimetric switch automatically activates the deployment of the oxygen masks when the
cabin altitude pressure reaches 4267 m (14000 ft). A manually actuated switch is also
available in the cockpit to enable the flight-crew to manually deploy the masks for passen-
ger, whenever necessary.

Q. Passenger Oxygen

(1) An altimetric switch automatically activates the deployment of the oxygen masks when the
cabin altitude pressure reaches 4389 m (14400 ft). A manually actuated switch is also
available in the cockpit to enable the flight-crew to manually deploy the masks for passen-
ger, whenever necessary.

EFFECTIVITY: ALL 1-10-01
