1. A team can consist of a maximum of 12 players and a minimum of 5 players, with a 5 players playing at a time on the court. 2. Each player should carry his/her a. An original ID College Card bearing a photograph of the player. b. An original government issued ID Card (i.e. Aadhaar Card, Driving License, Voter Card, PAN Card) c. A participant ID card which will be provided by the university. d. Two passport-sized photographs. 3. Inability to provide any of the documents stated in Rule No. 2, at the time of entry or whenever asked for, will lead to immediate disqualification of such player. No excuses will be taken into consideration. 4. Inability to reach the match venue on time (as mentioned in fixture) or not having sufficient players as stated in Rule No. 1 during the match will lead to an immediate disqualification of such team. 5. Using abusive language on the court, not abiding by the decisions of the referee or challenging the decisions of the officials of VISMIT 2018, will lead to disqualification of such team. 6. Use of any fake ID Card by any player mentioned in Rule No. 2 will lead to disqualification of the whole team. 7. Each team should carry their own ball for practice. No ball will be provided by the university for such purpose. 8. In case of any dispute, the decision of Basketball Co-ordinator would be final. GAME RULES: 1. It will be a league-cum-knockout tournament 2. Matches will be played as per the rules and guidelines described in FIBA, the International Basketball Federation. 3. The matches will be played in 4 quarters. The timing of a match would be 10 minutes per quarter (i.e. 10-10-10-10). 4. The allotment of points to the team for the matches played would be evaluated as follows: a. Matches Won = +2 b. Matches Draw = +1 c. Matches Lost = 0 5. In case, there is dispute between two teams regarding the qualification of one team to the quarter-finals, semi-finals or finals due to equal scores, then the team with higher score difference will be qualified for the finals. 6. If the final match ends in a draw, then an overtime of 5 minutes will be given. Even if the match ends in draw then the team with higher match points would be declared as winners. 7. The decisions of the referee and the officials of VISMIT 2018 basketball club will be final and binding on all the participants.
