What can the consequences of a conflict be? 
You will investigate by researching a modern historical conflict, remember all conflicts have two sides. Also this 
is a research task based on facts. So ensure you are analytical and reflective within the article. 
 
● You are a journalist 
● Your goal is to create an article on the consequences of conflict.  
● Situation – millions of people are displaced as a result of a conflict, making it a consequence of conflict.  
● Audience is the students of a local campus or school. 
 
Purpose​ – You will create a newspaper article to report on the consequences of a conflict to decide whether or 
not you agree with the statement of Inquiry.  
 
Method 
 
1. Select two conflicts/wars of interest. 
2. Separate page​ - Create a Venn diagram on your conflict and another conflict. 
3. Separate page​ (10 words with relevant definitions) - Put together a short lexicon with key terms – 
relating to your selected conflict? 
4. Write your Article on one of your selected conflicts. This should include images. 
Success criteria  
❏ One modern historical conflict 
❏ Discuss the cause of the conflict 
❏ Highlight some of the important events of the conflict 
❏ Highlight major outcomes or consequences  
Formal style, MLA bibliography and appropriate language are a necessity to this project.
