4. Rationale for the inclusion of the course/module in the programme :

Core Module.

This course is needed to introduce theory, concept and implementation of management information
system effectively in an organization. In addition, students are hoped to understand how the right
models, techniques and methods of management information system are able to solve problems in
real working environment. At the end of study, students will be able to build ideas, skills and apply a
proposal of problem solving based on real environment requirements.

1. To provide skills in managing problems of information system in real situation in organization
2. To apply knowledge and skills in managing information system in different context of
organizations.

3. To be able to make a strategic decision for the top management level of an organization.

On successful completion of the course, students will be able to:

13. Synopsis :

This course introduces the concept of Total Solution for MIS (SAP). It will comprise a principal,
framework, importance and issue in managing an information system. Fosuc also given on
Management information resources, strategic management and quality management of an
organization. In addition, management information system models in an organization such as DSS,
EIS, ES and MIS are also discussed.
