A. Theatre in context: The personal context and research into a professional company My Personal Context

Questions to be answered:

 To what extent does the student present their own personal context and outline their own approaches, interests and skills in
theatre?
 To what extent does the student present their research into the approaches used by a professional company that creates and
stages original pieces of theatre?

How to answer this Criteria, and questions:

My personal context

 Discuss your experiences in Theatre prior and during IB 1.


 What are experiences? – These are classes/ workshops you may have attended. This can also mean
performing in school shows/productions.
o Mention the workshops and activities we have done in class.
 Choose the workshops you had most fun, and those that challenged you the most.
 Then explain what you learned.
o Discuss the shows we’ve had.
 Share your experiences in interpreting an already written play, and writing your own.
 Talk about the planning and execution.
 Talk about working with your groupmates.
 What did you learn from this experience?
 What made it hard, what made it easy.
 If there was none prior, then mention that as well. This gives the reader an understanding that taking
part in theatre is new to you.
 Discuss your interest in the arts and/or performing
