LEARNING STANDARD  5.1.1(a) Able to use nouns correctly and appropriately. (common
nouns).

OBJECTIVES: By the end of the lesson pupils will be able to:


1. LIST DOWN SINGULAR NOUNS AND PLURAL NOUNS
CORRECTLY.
2. Answer at least 6/12 questions correctly

SUCCESS CRITERIA Pupils will be successful if they can :


1. List down 5 singular nouns and plural nouns correctly.
2.. Answer at least 6/12 questions correctly.

INDUCTION SET 1. Teacher writes down the word ‘lady ‘ and ladies on the board and asks
pupils what is the different.
Activities.
Teacher introduces singular and plural nouns to pupils.

 Pupils Read the notes on singular and plural nouns and teacher
explains.
 Teacher gives a few examples.
 Pupils list down the singular and plural nouns in the text.
 Teacher and pupils discuss the answer.

Individual work
 Pupils answer 12 grammar questions on nouns

LEARNING STANDARD  3.1.2(a) Able write in neat cursive writing with correct spelling
(words)
 3.2.1(b) Able to transfer information with guidance to complete non
linear text.

OBJECTIVES: By the end of the lesson pupils will be able to:


1.Transfer at the information in the invitation card correctly.
2. Write an invitation card for School Sports Day.

SUCCESS CRITERIA Pupils will be successful if they can :


1. Transfer at least 34/6 information in the invitation card correctly
2. Write an invitation card for School Sports Day correctly with the
details- date, time, venue and activities.

INDUCTION SET 1. Ask pupils) to share about their school’s canteen day.

 Pupils read the text in text book (pg: 6)
 Teacher explains difficult words meaning.

 Pupils transfer the information in the text to the invitation card..
