transitions with parents, whaanau, community and other organisations.
4. Culturally Sustaining Pedagogies - to value diversity; and validate culture, languages
and identity.
We are currently looking for keynote and breakout speakers from the wider education
profession. Keynote sessions are 1 hour long and at this stage we are seeking two Keynote
Speakers and additional Breakout Speakers. Leaders from within our Kaahui Ako have
requested you as a potential presenter they would like to secure for this day and we warmly
invite you to consider presenting.
Please find attached a copy of our current Strategic Plan for your information. This document
will help you identify an area in which you could target your keynote presentation.
The purpose of our Kaahui Ako is to work together to improve outcomes for our learners.
Our Professional Learning Day offers a great platform for this and we would love for you
to share your messages with He Waka Eke Noa.
We look forward to your reply and hope you are able to support He Waka Eke Noa. Please
contact Shirley Bailey shirley@tekowhai.school.nz to discuss possible themes you could share
in your presentations, and your availability and costs.
