On this month, I had started the job as a business development executive in my current company,
Steady Auto, a manufacturing company that specialised in manufacturing insulated box. During this
month, I had visit into the company that doing activities such as processing, storage, wholesales and
distribution of the frozen food, ice company or agent that delivery the ice produced by ice processing
company, ice cream distribution agent and seafood storage and seller, processing and distribution of
coconut milk, fruit and vegetable cold storage and distribution, vegetarian processing food factory,
pork whole seller and distributer, mushroom distributer and so on. I had visit about 60 company in
this month and below list is the record about the information given by each company.

The truck is sold by Combine Motor Sdn Bhd. From the record,
Chun Yong had visit and successfully meet the Director on last
time. But, I am unlucky fail to get the information from them.
The company is using YK Cooling system.
I had meet the PIC, Mr.Khoo. He informs me that he buy the
truck from a Seremban Truck Dealer. He is preferring Isuzu
Brand, some of the truck is trade in but some of them is
increasing due to business expansion. In year 2017, this
company add 4 units Isuzu. He invited me to look for the
specification of the truck, Insulated Box c/w full height
Aluminium Chequered Plate, rear bumper covered with
stainless and long rum bumper. The box length ranges from
10ft to 20ft. He mentioned that the internal dimension of the
box should be 19ft. The box is done by YHL.
Mr.Lai is the PIC of the company. The specification of the body
includes insulated box van c/w stainless chequered plate
flooring, rear bumper covered with stainless steel, additional
side door on RHS, side wall FRP+PU Foam+FRP. The price given
to end user seem to high so that I had lost the sales. I am
planning to visit the company on next times.
I had met with the Director during exhibition of FHM 2017. He
requests quotation of the body specification is normal
insulated box van c/w freezer. The PTM, Mr.Tee is the sales
person in charge to sold whole truck completed with box and
system to him. I had proposed whole package to him too. The
Director had send me the full package price quote by PTM to
me. The truck-Mitsubishi FE71PB-UBS, insulated box van
completed with freezer unit (YK cooling-LTF125). PTM had
given a big discount to the director and director decided to
choose the package.
The PIC, Miss Nur Laila seem not happy after we cannot
arrange the technician to have a look on the truck that wish to
repair. Even I had called for few times, to meet with her again
to pass the new catalogue, she never reply the msg and pick up
the phone. I am been know that Mr.Lim is the managing

director of the company. But, I fail to reach him by phone.
Miss Lilian told me that the company insulated box and the YK
cooling system all is being supply by Frigotech, Ivan. They had
never change the box supplies because the relationship
between the owner of the company and Frigotech. The owner
named Philips and the GM is the wife of the owner. They
owned Hino truck from BTM start from 5000kg to 16000kg. The
insulated box van ranges from 14 feet to 24 feet. Besides Hino,
they have purchased Nissan UD truck from TCIE, but they seem
prefer Hino Truck at this moment.
Mr.Chia is the PIC. When visit to this company, direct reject my
proposal and promised that will have a look on the future when
they needed.
No plan to add on any truck in this moment. Last time, they
purchase the truck from Jalan Ipoh Dealer. But, the things is
happen three years ago. The box supply by Frigotech and the
system used is YK.
Mushroom distributer and the PIC is knows as Mr.Venu. He is
person in charge for procurement. Even I had try to make an
appointment by phone call or whatapps, the person seems not
interested to duel with us.
The company is moved already but they focus only export
market. Therefore, they do not have transport arrangement.
A vegetarian processing companies. The company currently
own 3 units of truck. They deliver the frozen food mainly to JB
& KL only. The truck will be change 1 times in 10 years times.
The owner is knows as Mr.Tan. Normally, he will enter the office
after evening. The staff told me that avoid to meet at morning
because they are busy with their operation work.
A frozen non-halal food distributor and seller. The PIC is named
Mr.Cheah, share by Miss Ling, billing staff of the company. She
share the owner contact to me and I will try to make
appointment with him on coming November. The insulated box
van is done by Frigotech and the system used by the company
is Mitsubishi Brand. The internal wall is fully stainless and there
are a lot of the arm roll inside the insulated box.
Mr. Kee, son the Ocean Land Sdn Bhd is the PIC. This
information is share by Mr.Tee, owner of the Pacific Tube Ice.
Wai is the PIC but he only enters to office in the evening. He
requested quotation for 13ft,14.5ft and 17ft ice box price. RHS
side door to be added. Currently, they take the insulated box
van from Wong Brothers. But, the process takes two months.
Therefore, he may consider to change other supplies. But, after
I visit to Cheng Yong Trading Sdn Bhd and Pacific Tube Ice
Supply, they told me that the owner owing money from the
other ice suppliers.
No plan to add any truck in this moment. Mr.Wong told me that
look for TSL or Everish, because both of the company is growing
now. He share with me that the Chiew Frozen planning to enter
cold chain logistics area but had been delayed because of the

Owner had a very good relationship with Monzone, if they
want buy thermos king brand, they will never consider other
company besides Monzone. The truck is being supply by
combine Motor.

and the system is Mitsubishi unit. Miss Chong is not around and

Need a local box supplier that can repair the box due to all the
box is being supplied by Super. This year, the company had just
buy 8 units of the truck. Get the contact of the person and look
for the PIC in coming November.

Walk in to visit this company after visited agriculture and
logistics exhibition. The box is done by Frigotech and the truck
is supply by Combine Motor Sdn Bhd. This company is moved
from Batu Caves to Shah Alam after the company is growing. All
the truck owed by this company is Nissan UD. He are interested
to requested the quotation for 20ft insulated box but after he
think carefully, he told me that he will request when he wanted
to buy a new truck. He has a good relationship with Frigotech,
Ivan Wong. Besides, he told me that he never hear our
company because Combine Motor never recommended our
company as the optional choice to him.

Mr.KT Ler after the full catalogue had been done. This company
director is planning to open an apps that can be used by his
current customer for them to requested purchased item. After
that, the apps will have generated the sales order and Lucky
Ong Frozen will delivered the requested item to them via their
transport. If the apps are popular being used, then the logistic
business of the Lucky Ong Frozen will be grow and demand for
the lorry or even pickup truck will be grow.
May visit the company after the catalogue have been created.
Mr.Khor ask me to quote the repair flooring price after visited
his company. Besides, he also requested the price for 15ft
insulated box van. Currently, The HQ company is located at
Klang but this company have 11 branches along KL. The new set
up is based on Tanjung Malim. The company recently just buy a
new Isuzu NPR truck. The box normally supply by the YHL
located in Nilai. They now have 4 units of Isuzu truck incl the
new one.
Through the Mr.Danny Lai, he told me that the PIC for the
purchase of the turck is named May Chong, the financial
controller of the company. The company had 5 units of the
truck. (3 units- 1 ton, 2units-5 Ton). Currently, they use Thermo
King to freezer the frozen product. Before that, YHL supply the
insulated box and CK Brand supply the system. The company
will strongly consider us as the future. Before leave, May Chong
had share the contact of the Litt Tatt PIC to me.
PIC is knows as Mr.Gui.
Miss Tan is the staff and she share me the company plan to buy
a new van to delivery frozen food. She say may look for
Mr.Wong when you wish to propose your products.
More than 30 units of truck. Is controlled by Tee Family.
Recently, the company just buy a new truck, 3 units in this year.
Mr.Tee told may consider us if the price is pretty on next year if
they add the truck. He sharing with me ice industry market
player, the relationship among each other’s and the function of
the ice cube besides eating. He shares me the owner of Everest
Aisvaram Sdn Bhd owner contact. Besides, he requests that the
cost of repairing the ice box, I am told him that the cost need to
RM10k. He rejects to repair at this moment. But, I believe that I
will have a good relationship with him in the future.
The owner is a Indian Datuk, but he travel already. The truck is
supply by Shue Chuan Trading. The insulated box van is supply
by YHL.
The company planning to exchange wooden body with the
insulated box van. Requested quotation of body exchange, 24ft
insulated box van, with additional 1 side door at RHS, 4ft
Aluminium Chequered Plate and services such as body plan and
JPJ Application letter. The company had just buy a new truck
and the box is supply by Frigotech.
No plan to add additional truck at this moment. Truck is

suppliers. This company is an ice cream distributor.
Summary
The whole package is supply by CK Brand. On year 2017, the
company already add 3 units of the truck. The preference of
the truck is Isuzu Brand. Mr. Liew seem not interested when I
try to explain to him due the reason he may be busy. The truck
owned by this company is 3 ton truck. Life span for each truck
is about 5 to 6 years. The box is supply by YHL and before CK
Brand, the company used Thermo King unit to deliveried their
frozen food.
The purchasing PIC is called Jera but I wish to meet an
appointment but being rejected. Therefore, I will try again on
next month to visit him again. I am visit the company branches,
but not the HQ Office. The HQ office is located on Suite 17.05 &
Suite 17.06, 17th Floor,Wisma Lim Foo Yong Jln Raj Chulan, Kuala
Lumpur Federal Territory Kuala Lumpur Malaysia.
I also cannot meet with Mr.Raymond but I had try to get the
information through cool calling to him. This company is
supplying non-Halal Food and the company wish to change the
name of the company because of high revenue.
Owned three units of the truck and the PIC. Miss Nora Arrifin
told me that the owner of the company wishes to keep our
contact and dealing with us when he need. The box now are
supply with YHL and the cooling system is YK Brand.
The company HQ seem is located at Pahang that told by Mr.Tan,
PIC for the branches located in Taman Bukit Permai.
Through dealing with Mr.Tan, the truck is 3 units(Isuzu
Brand).Last 3 years, he only adds up a truck. The system
preferred by them is Mercuy, supplied by Century located in
Subang Jaya. They look more important to the cooling system
compared with the body. The frozen seafood mainly distributed
by their logistics partner, Litt Tatt. I had try promote CK brand,
by for his information sharing with the transporter, CK brand
only can be consider when there are point to pointy delivery.
The rate of cooling of the system no stronger compared with
other brand. Mr.Tan share me the contact of Sunflower Tube Ice
Sdn Bhd, Adnam Lee before I leave his company.

Sandy Looi is the PIC for purchasing of the truck. Date him
three times, she also no time to meet with me. But, I will try
again until I successfully meet her because the company is big
and having a lot of the truck.
The PIC named Mr.Phooi but the staff, Miss Lessi told me that
the PIC refused to meet me. When the company is ready to buy
again the truck, they will call us. But, I will definitely visit again
after I had new catalogue for all the details of the insulated
box.
PIC-Mr Yap(Director). Every time call to office to make
appointment with the director, I also failed to meet him. Will
try to walk in again to meet with his manager because when I
visit the company, the manager is MC leave.
The PIC in on MC one month. Cool calling to introduce myself
and may make appointment on next month, November.
Mr.Kong is the PIC, but he told me currently they no plan to add
truck. I had try to make appointment to him by failed. He only
mention that he will look for me when the company need my
service.
Communication problem when dealing with the Director
because it is a foreigner. The company own Mitsubishi FE71PB
and user of the Mitsubishi refrigerated system. The director
wanted one package when we sold the truck to them. He did
not want to separate the truck into truck dealer, box suppliers
and refrigerated system suppliers. The preference of
temperature is – 15 degrees Celsius and must not exceed this
temperature. The item will be rejected due to temperature
does not full fill requirement of their customer.
Distributer for frozen food and ice cream. They prefer service of
the tech kool. The insulated box is done by Tech Kool and the
PIC have a good relationship with them. They may use XPS
Foam as the insulation materials in the future. But, I try advise
him that keep using PU foam because the R value of the PU
foam is more higher compared with XPS Foam. They prefer
cooling system supply by Kuchai Lama. They created the system
that can be fulfil their own requirement. They had try to
consider YHL and Frigotech last time, but due to the pricing,
they rejected their project be passed to them. The PIC, is knows
as Mr.Lau and he is good in calculation. The truck supplier is
Seremban Victory that located in Seremban. He had requested
quotation for 13ft insulated box van completed with additional
1 side door at RHS and 4ft Aluminium chequered plate on the
side wall.
The other branches of the ice company are located in Melaka.
Madam Kuan is the wife of the owner. She in charge for the
operation of the company. Currently, the insulated box van is
supply by YHL or Fin Con Tech. She had separately buy the truck
in a year and the truck is direct dealing with truck dealer owner
for more discount. She shares with me that if a truck cost
RM100K, normally will get a standard discount RM3K. Sales

person in the truck dealer company only can give discount not
more than 2K. However, if buy from the owner, she can get
discount more than 2K.
Ice company located at Kajang near with Crystal Ice Sdn Bhd.
Madam Lee had complaint that the process of ice box being
supply sometimes takes more than two months. I proposed and
promised her that our company can finish done the insulated
box van within one month. She told me that she will consider
us in the future.
The company is closed after 4pm. Will try to visit again on
November.
Ice company that located is Serdang. The PIC, Mr Sam Ng told
me that try to meet him again on future but prefer Monday.
They recently just buy a truck from Ultra Gallant Nilai Sdn Bhd,
through KK, sales person in Ultra Gallant. The ice box also
install YK Cooling system to freeze the ice. This is the
requirement of their customer when delivery the ice cube to
customer such as AEON Big, KLIA restaurant. YHL is their only
box suppliers in so many years.
Korea Food Importer company but now they had pass the
delivery jobs to their transporter.
Get the contact of the owner but the staff told me that due to
they only focus the business on Ampang Area, the demand for
the truck is not heavy compared with others. The most recent
record that show they purchase a truck is three years ago. The
ice box is produced by the YHL.
No information obtained because the owner is not around. The
staff rejected to provide the information to me.
Owner is a Malay, named Hj Makmur. The company is located
besides EA commercial, but when I told him EA Commercial , he
seems like no idea about the company. I plan to visit the
company again on the future.
Mr.Lou told me that when the company buy a new truck, then
they will only consider us. For the repairing work, they prefer
YHL due to distance problem. Truck is supply by Miss Tee, Soon
Heng Sales Person. The box either 15ft or 24 feet, only two
dimension. The system used by the company such as Thermo
King,YK Cooling and Carrier. They just buy the truck on last year
therefore they are no planning to purchase any truck in this
moment.
A subsidiary under FIC Kitchen. Now, I am dealing with the
Sales Executive, Mr.Peter. Currently, I had follow up 20ft Hino
Insulated box van and Inokom 10ft insulated box van c/w
partition .

After visit the company as listing as above, I found that the frozen food company more pay attention
to the refrigerated system that can be supply to them. All the frozen food should be stored below 0
degree Celsius, mostly below -15 degrees Celsius. The refrigerated system can be either local brand
or imported. For the local brand, the refrigerated system is divided into chiller (+1 degree Celsius)
and freezer (0 to -25 degrees Celsius). For the imported system, the temperature can be adjusted
either to chiller or freezer.

Besides, for the insulated box van, the customer more look importantly into quality and price of the
insulated box van. In addition, they look forward for the service that can be serve by the sales person
of the insulated box van.

On this month, I had quote 8 quotations but conversion to sales order is zero. I think it may due to
the reason of high pricing that quote to end user. The insulated box van maximum can only be mark
up to RM2000. The consumer is smart enough to compare all of the pricing of the insulated box van.
