In my essay I will be attempting to answer the questions about vaccines for young

children and the way they affect their safety and health. I want to investigate more on all the

controversies about vaccines.The risks of not getting vaccinated? I want to know all the pros and

cons of vaccines. What all vaccines can protect children from? If there are certain ages that are

better to get vaccines rather than others?

This article is an overview about vaccinations and the different controversies there are when it

comes to vaccinating your child. It says that most children in the U.S get vaccinated. For two

centuries of scientific evidence has proven that vaccines can prevent deadly diseases. There was

a measles outbreak at Disneyland in 2014 and this spreaded throughout seven states. The article

uses this as an example of how diseases can spread because of the ones who do not get

vaccinated.

This is an academic article that was written to inform/educate people on what is going on in our

world with vaccines. It was written for parents of children that have questions about vaccinating

their child. This article makes people really consider their decisions with the information they

provided. It pushes people to learn more and to be educated on this topic to make their decision.

This article was written by Jane Fullerton Lemons who is a journalist with over 25 years of

experience who is getting her masters in degree in creative nonfiction. It was published on the

CQ Researcher which is an online database. It is a reliable source because of the fact that it is a

database so you know the information has been confirmed. I will use this source to provide

information on the pros of getting vaccinated and use the incidents in the article about the

children that did not get vaccinated and what the effects were on that.

however they protect from diseases and viruses that can save a child's life. Although there are

some side effects none have been deadly. The benefits of vaccines outweigh the risks of them the

In this article it talks about the big measles breakout and this can be a deadly virus and is one of

the most contagious viruses on earth. Due to the large gap in vaccination coverage had caused

the large outbreak. Afghanistan is where there is the most infection rates however there there is a

short supply of vaccines. It talks a lot of improving the vaccination coverage which decreases the

risk of losing decades of progress in protecting the children against the preventable disease.

There has been increasing number of parents opting out of vaccines which is causes more

problems.

The author's purpose of this article is to inform the readers of the effects of not vaccinating i

doing in our world. It was an academic article written to get the attention of parents. The

information given in the article was not based off of opinion it was just informing which made

me to believe it was a reliable source. I will use this article to support the facts of what happens

when your child is not vaccinated.

In this academic article it is about how vaccination is important and the way childhood

immunizations affect schools. Every year there is an immunization schedule that is released by

the National Immunization Program (NIP). This is scheduled for parents that says when their

child should receive certain vaccines. There are vaccines that children need to have when

attending school however there are exemptions available for those who do not wish to vaccinate

a higher level of education to learn more about childhood immunizations. The article allows

people to learn more about the specific schedule and how immunizations play a role in schools.

understand and manage vaccines. They talk about the high rates of vaccine refusal and the effects

of not vaccinating your child. Most studies have shown that the outbreaks of these diseases such

as measles, and pertussis demonstrate the bad effects of vaccine hesitancy and refusal. As

personal belief exemptions have been introduced this has raised the utilization of exemptions and

exemption laws play an important part in maintaining low rates of VPDs. The author's purpose in

writing this book was to educate people on vaccines educating them more and how to manage

them.

The audience meant for this are concerned parents or people with a high education level looking

for more information over vaccines. The information in the book is reliable information because

of the fact it was published on springer which is a database through OhioLink. I will use this in

my final paper to explain the effects of not vaccinated and how it does affect children's health.

specific author stated the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention had provided this

information. The purpose of the article is to educate people on the flu vaccine and the benefits to

getting the vaccine. This article was written for all people to read and get more information

specifically on the flu vaccine.

The information is reliable because at the end of the article it has a list of all the referenced used

in the article. It was written in a very organized professional form with no opinions, only factual

information. I will use this in a my paper to help provide information on how this specific

vaccine can impact the safety and health of a child.
