CHAPTER 5

SUMMARY, CONCLUSIONS, AND RECOMMENDATIONS

This concluding chapter shows the summary of the study

and its findings as well as conclusions illustrated, and

recommendations presented.

The Problem and Its Methodology

This research was intended to develop anIoT Off-Grid

Microcontroller-based Automatic Fishpond Aerator with

Temperature, pH, and Turbidity Monitoring System.

Precisely, it was pursued to answer the following

questions:

1) What are the conditions that cause fish kill?

1.1 What are the parameters that can be monitored

using sensors?

1.1.1 What are the ideal values for each

parameter?

2) What are the hardware components and software needed

to construct the project?

3) How effective the system when it comes to:

1.1 Accuracy

1.2 Notification

The respondents involved in the study were the Bureau

of Fishery and Aquatic Resources employee.

The study developed the descriptive-developmental

method of research, and the help of the knowledge of the

fishery.

The data gathered through the study of the Bureau of

Fishery and Aquatic Resources to use the right level of

every sensor the used to prevent fish kill.

Findings

Analysis of data revealed the following findings:

1. The respondents claimed that having unclear water

can cause the fish for breathing problem. The temperature

need to mobilize to prevent stress for the fish. Monitoring

the water will help to prevent fish kill.

2. The IoT Off-Grid Microcontroller-based Automatic

Fishpond Aerator with Temperature, pH, and Turbidity

Monitoring System is one of the most reliable sources to

monitor on what happening to the fishpond.

3. The respondent amaze of the evolution of technology

and they agree to use the IoT interface for more suitable

way of monitoring.

Conclusions

The researchers completely came up with the conclusion that

the objectives of the proposed study, IoT Off-Grid

Microcontroller-based Automatic Fishpond Aerator with

Temperature, pH, and Turbidity Monitoring System, have been

met and came out with the design project prototype. In

light to the findings, completion of the study, and test

results of the prototype, the researchers have come up to

the realization of creating a working system that drew the

following conclusions:

1. The components that used in the system fit the

expectation of the Bureau of Fishery and Aquatic Resources,

and all needed is an Internet connection.

2. The main components of the system were reliable

based on the survey conducted.

3. The proposed IoT Off-Grid Microcontroller-based

Automatic Fishpond Aerator with Temperature, pH, and

Turbidity Monitoring System help the owner to monitor their

fishpond even if they are not in town.

4. The system was fully-tested and was demonstrated

that it works well.

Recommendations

The system can be modified with the use of another

interface or platform for having a new sensor.

For fish kill problem soon there will be more sensors

that will be made and can use as additional features for

IoT Off-Grid Microcontroller-based Automatic Fishpond

Aerator with Temperaure, pH, and Turbidity Monitoring

System. In addition, they can use more controller to

prevent fish kill even though they are not in town.
