My first time to go to Manila Science High School by car with sir Moantebon as my

supervisor was quite enough. He bring an envelope with my document inside. I follow his
step and he met a teacher in the guide and counselling room, he speaks tagalog so I
couldn’t understand what are they talked about but I can figure out that they are talking
about a permit and want introduce myself to the principle. But unfortunately we have to
go back to the PNU or Hostel because the principle has another appointment and meeting
until 5 p.m. My first impression about the school is I was thought that this school must be
favourite school in the Manila. Then I have to work hard to make sure that my content is
good and communicative.

So I officially introduce to Masci on Monday, 28 January 2019 at 9am. We go to

Masci by walk and sir moantebon accompany me. After we arrived, sir Moantebon talk to
mam Moantenegro (as OIC, Science Department) and he require me to follow ma’am
Moantenegro’s step because she want me to know about this school. Begin with school’s
building until diagram of official employee in science department. The school is clean.
Ma’am moentenegro said that I may started observing mam Francisco’s class because
she doesn’t have a practice teacher and the subject she handle is Advanced Chemistry.
Ma’am Francisco allowed me to observers her for a week and there are 4 sections begin
with 7 am to 11 am. Detailed time are:

7.00 – 8.00 am is 10- Einstein

8.00 – 9.00 am is 10- Faraday

9.00 - 10.00 am is 10- Rongent

10.00 – 11.00 is 10 – Copernicus.

Mam Francisco said that I can teach 2 sections, Faraday and Copernicus at 4
February 2019. I observer her for a week and I can get that they are talking about organic
chemistry. We discuss to disserve the topics. The topics are

1. Alkanes and cycloalkanes,

2. Alkenes and alkynes
3. Alcohol and ether
 4. Aldehyde and ketone

So far, my students from both classes are so cooperative, fun, competitive, listen
attentively, kind, attention maker, and polite. When I teach them, I have to make sure that
they are really understand and my output is they have to know the application of the topic
because chemistry is the central science so I have to make sure of it. There are some
moment that I never have been forgotten such as, they sing my national song “Indonesia
Raya” also “Burung kakak tua”, I teach them to appreciate each other and give a “Good
Job” song to make sure that they are not bored and stressed to make chemistry more fun
but don’t forget the content.

The teacher in science department are so kind and polite, they allow me to using
mentoring room if I want to take a rest for a while. I will go back to hostel above 1 pm.
The teacher also teach me how to make a good lesson plan, so I require to make
minimum 3 lesson plan and my critic teacher will observe the way I teach. But I jusdeplore
that they doesn’t have a book. Until my final demonstration, mam Francisco and mam
moantenegro so much teach me. When my final demonstration, I’m very grateful to myself
because I can pass it well and all going smooth.
