SECTION A INFORMATION REQUESTED BY CONTRACTOR

1. As per spec produced by MMC (DL‐000‐DD‐MMC‐000‐P‐SPC‐0002),

Check valve s DN50 and larger shall be swing type as per piping class.
Check valves DN40 and below shall be piston type and shall be used only
in horizontal pipes (Refer to PTS 12.30.02 – Piping General Requirement
under sub-section 8.8.2.10).

However, due to high viscosity presented by the process medium (7500

cp), Peroni proposed to use piston type check valve instead of swing
type check valve due to its suitability.
PCSB to confirm acceptance on the deviation of check valve type from
swing type to piston type check valve.

2. As per P&ID drawing produced by MMC (DL‐000‐DD‐MMC‐000‐P‐SPC‐

0002), the discharge check valve mentioned double dissimilar check
valve.
PCSB to confirm acceptance on the deviation of double dissimilar check
valve type to single piston type check valve.
