Country Profile: India

1. Geography

India is located in Southern Asia and the bordering countries are Nepal, Lahore, Pakistan,

Myanmar, China, Afghanistan, Bhutan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh. The state capital of India is New Delhi

(New_Delhi). The average climate is 32-40 degrees and there are only three big bodies of water

next to India and those are Arabian Sea, Bay of Bengal and Indian ocean. the major landforms of

India and those are Himalayas, Ganges, and the Thar Desert. They love talking about Prime

Minister Narendra Modi that has and is doing because he has experienced being in the worst

condition so he does what he can for the other Indians. Indian rupee is India’s currency and one

dollar in rupee is equal to 69.80 so our money has more value than rupee.

2. Politics

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is the head of India and he is still serving until this day.

He has been the head of India since 2014 and a lot of India agrees with his decisions and they are

not going to be happy when he leaves because he is 68 years old. If some one not as smart has

him and make good decisions then India is going to fall apart. In “1858 - India comes under

direct rule of the British crown after failed Indian uprising.”and “1885 - Indian National

Congress founded as forum for emerging nationalist feeling”also in India“1920-22 - Nationalist

leader Mahatma Gandhi launches anti-British civil disobedience campaign”. These events have

shaped India to what it is today and I think a lot of people wished that Prime Minister Narendra

Modi was there back then to make India better because I think we all know that India can be

better but it’s alright right now that is. Right now India and Pakistan are in a war because

Pakistan shot down a Indian aircraft so india shot back with with a airstrike.Right now they are

in a war and nobody really know why he.India is also facing a water drought.India’s trading

partners are Russian Federation, Israel, Afghanistan, France, Bhutan, Bangladesh, and the United

States and so fair they are doing really well and not cause problems for other countries.

3. Economy

Indian rupee is India’s currency (Rupee). India trades a lot with the United States, UAE,

and billion Bangladesh because most of these countries have natural resources and I think that is

why India has the most natural resources and also it is mostly sunny there there so they can grow

a lot of those resources and they can work more because it’s sunny. In the daily life they love to

spend the day together to begin the day together and end the day together and they love cooking

and that is something that you can do as a family so I guess that's why they love it more.

4. Daily Life

Indians love their family and they love having all their family at the dinner table even

their extended family which in our culture is a lot of people usually only their mom, dad and

grandparents so in India it is custom to ask your whole family for dinner not just your family that

you see everyday (growing up with en indian family). Usually they follow these way of life so

what they do is they love cooking, dancing, very thin clothes, they love to cover up. If you want

out walking in India as female in a t-shirt everyone will look at you and be thinking why is she

wearing that were in the USA that is so “normal” for everyone to be able to wear t-shirts and

stuff like that.
