Refer our discussion on the subject today morning regarding design of proposed drain below new temporary bridge.
Accordingly, please find attached plan / section of the proposed drain which has been designed on the basis that
cross-sectional area of the drain below new temporary bridge is same as that of the RCC culvert which was existing
earlier.

Please review the same and advise if this is acceptable.

We are ready with revised drawings to be released as soon as we have MG/QG concurrence on above.

Dear Sridhar,

As discussed between Yourself / Alfredo and myself yesterday, following points have been considered in the design
of New Temporary Bridge.
1. Thickness of Top plate of the bridge has been considered as 22 mm in view of non-availability of higher
thickness plates in the market. However this will mean that there is no corrosion allowance in the plate and
so it needs to be galvanized. Galvanizing is also recommended to take care of wear & tear due to movement
of equipment/personnel etc.
2. Other parts of the bridge will be painted with QG Painting system CS-12 (coal tar epoxy) as agreed between
MG/QG.

Regarding provision of V-drain/ditch below the new Temporary bridge in place of pipe culverts, a sketch is attached
with cross-sectional view for the proposed drain. This drain area considers that water flowing thru the existing V-
drain passes below the New Temporary drain without any restriction. Request to review this sketch and discuss with
QG for their concurrence.

After your agreement / response on all the above points, we will provide you advance AFC drawings for
discussions/acceptance by QG.
