This is how the US/German Empire (I sometimes prefer to think of it as a 'monster'...) deals with the
reality of poverty.
Partly it’s down to the Greeks. After the Civil War (1944-49) and the Junta (1967-74), Greeks leapt
into EEC then EU membership in 1983 with alacrity, believing that the EEC set up was a 'magic wand'
that would bring them wealth on a plate without effort. Would make them 'modern' without effort.
Modern Greeks are not 'ancient' as a culture, as most Western idiots like to imagine... They are ex-
Ottoman like the rest of the Balkans and Middle East. They have an Oriental/Byzantine mentality.
Where they are ancient is in geography. Their economy is essentially the same now as it was 3000
yrs. ago: agriculture, fishing, shipping, tourism, and some pharmaceuticals. Tourism is huge; 20% of
the whole economy. 11 million Greeks cater to 27 million tourists between May and October.
Otherwise, Greece is not merely resource poor, but resource bankrupt. She could not be 'European'
in resources because she hasn't got any. 4/5 mountains + 3000+ islands. It’s an economic nightmare.
Between 1983 and 2008, she tried to live the Central European lifestyle with EEC/EU handouts, and
then fell flat on her face when unable to pay these back. Now she is 180% in debt. She will in all
likelihood NEVER come out of this unless she becomes a colony of...?
From 300BC to 200BC, she was a Macedonian colony. From 200BC to about 300AD, she was a colony
of Rome. From 300AD Founding of Constantinople to 1453AD she was Byzantium, a 'post-Roman
colony’ great power, although only in reality 'a Power' only up to 1200AD. From 1453 to 1830, she
was Ottoman, and then from 1830-to now she has been struggling with dependence on one
Western Power or another (Germany, France, Britain, US...?).
Greeks are Ottoman/Byzantine by mentality and culture. They are existentially resource bankrupt.
Yet Western idiots persuaded Greek idiots that 'the Glories of ancient Greece' could be recreated
within the EEC/EU. Pericles in the EuroP. Homer in the Council of Europe. Alexander the Great in the
EU Council of Ministers...? Pipedreams.
Now German tunnel vision, that lost Germany two world wars, is destroying Greece. Yet, Greeks
would apparently rather suffer a slow death within the rich man’s club of the EU than a quick death
outside the EU in abysmal poverty. Within the EU, individual Greeks can flee the sinking Greek ship
and become individually, 'Europeans'. Outside of the EU, they cannot. This may be the end for
Greece, the nation-state, but Greeks will continue to live within the EU and tourists will flock to the
EUs Greek Disneyland of 3000 islands etc.
And the bankruptcy will go on for an indefinite/indeterminate period…generations. Maybe one day
Greece will cease to exist exc. as a province/colony of another power (Russia, China?).
Greece has always been someone's colony, playground, or whipping boy. Only Greeks can make it
anything better.
