 Coisas que conseguimos contar;  Coisas que não conseguimos contar;

 Têm uma forma para o singular  Usa-se com nomes/ideias abstratas ou

e para o plural; coisas que são demasiado pequenas para
contar ou cuja forma não permite a sua
 Para fazer perguntas sobre a sua “contagem”;
“quantidade” usamos How many?
 Só existem no singular. Não podemos usar
a/na com eles. Para expressar quantidade
Exemplos: day, yea, house, pen, usamos medidas exatas (kilo, liter, a cup
friends, letter, leaf… of…);

 Para fazer perguntas sobre a sua

“quantidade” usamos How much?

Exemplos: tea, rice, fear, research, sugar,

knowledge, love, water, air, milk…
Some – alguns. Usa-se com countable nouns no plural ou com os uncountable
nouns para expresser uma quantidade indefinida.
