I am writing this letter of recommendation on behalf of Mr.
Aradhya Kapoor, one of my
students at the Pearl Academy, New Delhi. I had the opportunity to assess Aradhya both as his course coordinator and as a faculty for Garment Construction and Pattern Making during his stint as a student of Post Graduate Programme at the Pearl Academy. During my 18 years of teaching and training students in the fashion domain, I have rarely come across a gifted student as Aradhya. Though he did not have a background of Fashion Industry when he enrolled for the PG Programme but his perseverance and hard work towards the understanding of the basic concepts promoted him to be in the top 10 percent of the students of his batch. I was particularly impressed by the fact that he showed an inherent grasp of the subject being taught at the PG level. His creativity and the zeal to do something different had put him on a higher pedestal than his compatriots. Garment Construction involves a plethora of knowledge about the fabric and understanding of various patterns. It is one of the basic building blocks in the industry, if one has to succeed in the growing market of textiles. Aradhya comprehended the problems associated with the industry as a pro and by the end of the course, of which I was the course leader, he was instrumental in getting the best form of the pattern in garments. On the personal front I have found Aradhya to be disciplined, dedicated and determined student. His amiable persona has been a source of motivation for a lot of students. Aradhya has been an active participant in the co curricular activities organised by the Pearl Academy. His participation in the various fashion shows during his student life is a proof of his intuitive nature. As his course coordinator I would have expected him to reach for the stars and I think his time has come now to sit along with the people who matter and learn from the best in the industry. I wish him the best for his higher education in your college, where he can not only show his ability to succeed in his chosen domain but also make a mark for the future.
