feelings of worthlessness and even anxiety. That is why mental problems are frequent during this
period, thus, it is important for adults to watch out for any symptom that could appear so to avoid
worst scenarios that depression can cause such us suicide. Youth suicide statistics are extremely
worrisome, according to many researches suicide is the third leading cause of death in young
people. Undoubtedly, we must do something in order to change this reality and try to find a way to

Depression is also seen in teenagers, they usually suffer this disease because of all the pressures

psychological treatment will be the best option. Generally teenagers under this situation do not feel
comfortable talking about themselves and what is going on in their lives with relatives or friends,
but a psychologist may be more acceptable for them. It is also important to start and finish the

recreational activity. Young people can easily find out something to do that help them to release
stress, which is one of the main causes of depression, and take their minds off worries. They can
choose between any kind of activity such us playing a sport, painting, singing, dancing, and playing
an instrument among others. In this way they will feel better and increase their self-esteem.
All in all, it can be said that depression is a real problem that needs to be treated in our
society. It affects many people but especially the generation of the future is threatened by this
mental problem. Luckily, there are solutions for this issue, there are health professionals that may
help and activities that can be done to increase happiness and bring a better lifestyle.
