4 Instrument Calibration Requirement (Table 3.2.1)
Temperature Uniformity Survey
Requirement
Initial TUS after build / rebuilt / location change

only one temp within the operating temperature to be tested

min & max temperature of operating range to be tested
Can be done with empty , loaded furnace
Each Thermocouple data need to be recorded for every 30 secs minimum. (Manual Data collection not allowed)

Table 3.4.1
5
9
add 1 thermocouple for each additional 3m3 volume

Each Thermocouple data need to be recorded for every 2 minutes minimum. (Manual Data collection not allowed)
Compare TUS data with process data to check compliance. Total offset/bias assigned to the correction of skewed TUS shall not
exceed 2 deg (This is not related to calibration / SAT errors)
No corner TUS thermocouple failure allowed in all below case
0 failure allowed
1 failure permitted
<= 10% failure permitted
±10 deg from set temperature
Upper Temp tolerance shall not be exceeded at any time
For Known deviations in instruments, corrections can be done in calculations

2 Thermocouple within 50mm distance from corner

1 No.
Numbers as per table with uniform distribution perpenticular to conveyance direction

4 Thermocouple within 50mm distance from corner

Numbers as per table with uniform distribution perpenticular to conveyance direction

Thermocouples
Requirement
In operating temperature range. Interval between 2 calibration temp shall not exceed 150deg
Report shall contain Nonminal Temerature, Actual Temp, Correction factor for each port, Calibration method
Shall be accredited to any national / international bodies
Depth of insertion shall be >= Depth of insertion of previous usage
1. If the no. of uses not monitored for Non expendable thermocouples, same shall be replayed in 6 months
2. Thermocouples (Expendable / Non expendable) for load sensor use can be used more than one time when the thermocoup
physically not degraded. Proper documentation need to be done for this

Instumentation

Requirement
Digital instrument minimum readability of 1 deg req.
Analog instrument minimum readability of 2 deg req.

shall not exceed 2 deg
