NIJMEGEN IS PART OF AMNESTY INTERNATIONAL.
WE'RE MAINLY COMPRISED OF STUDENTS OF
RADBOUD UNIVERSITY AND HAN UNIVERSITY OF
APPLIED SCIENCES. OUR ACTIVITIES CAN BE
ENJOYED BY ALL, BUT ARE GEARED TOWARDS
AND MADE FOR STUDENTS AND STUDENT LIFE.
ACTIVITIES WE ORGANIZE ARE E.G. PETITIONS,
MOVIE NIGHTS, LECTURES, BENEFIT CONCERTS,
WRITING EVENTS AND DEBATES.

FOR A...
PRESIDENT
The president of the group keeps track of what the group is doing and stimulates where it’s going. This means you will
have to take over the “birds eye view” as well as socializing with the members to understand their motivations and to
keep the group together. Furthermore it is your job to organize and lead the board meetings during which all five board
members come together. You represent the group when meeting board members of other student organizations and
other external people. Being the face of the student groups also gives you the opportunity to improve on your presenting
and moderating skills.

SECRETARY
As secretary, your job is to handle all the communication, with the members and with external parties. You make notes at
the General Assemblies, the board meetings and the heads of committee meetings. You are responsible for the member
administration. You also write the newsletter, once a month, to keep the members up to date of all the activities the group
organizes. The external communication includes booking rooms for activities, communication with other (student)groups
and the headquarters and keeping our email-inbox up to date.

TREASURER
As treasurer, your primary task is to guarantee that the finances of the organization are run smoothly. You are
responsible for paying and receiving money from members and externals, organizing the student contribution of the
collection week in collaboration with the amnesty group Nijmegen, and managing the bank account. The treasurer has to
buy the things for activities that need to be bought online and are not from the Amnesty Headquarters. It is of course
important that the members understand what you are doing as well, which means that you present a financial year report
in January in which you explain the revenues and expenditures the organization had the year before.

COMMISSIONER OF PR
As a commissioner of PR you are responsible for the marketing of the student group. Every event (on Facebook) needs a
picture. To promote the event, you make posters, design flyers or a picture for the tv-screens on campus. You are
responsible of taking pictures at the events we organize and post them on our Social Media pages. You are responsible
for answering Facebook and Instagram messages and you make people aware of this studentgroup by spreading posters
and flyers.

COMMISSIONER OF ACTIVITIES
The main job of the commissioner of activities is to maintain an overview of all
the committees and what they are up to. You communicate this with the
board, and to the committee heads, to make sure there is no overlap in
activities and all committees know when the best time for their activities is.
You are there for all the support that they might need from the board. In order
to do this, you are present at all of the committee meetings. This makes you
the first direct line of communication between the board and the members.
