Universal Design for Learning (UDL): The good thing about my e-book is that it could be used for a variety of
students. Students who have hearing impairments do not necessarily have to listen to it as it has words.
Students who have a vision impairment could use this by listening. Students who are immobile can have it in
their laps or on a table to look at or hear.

Lesson idea implementation: I will begin the lesson by introducing the topic and asking the students if they
know what emotions are. I will then start asking about specific emotions such as happy, sad, mad, and
confused. I will then show them my E-book and talk about each emotion so they have a better understanding.
I will have an open discussion about my students emotions and ask if they have ever felt sad, mad, happy,
confused and that way it will give me an understanding if they understand.

To get the student learning to a higher level, I will have the kids act out emotions with my assistance so they
can fully understand and realize what could make them have different emotions. This also is a fun little task
because they are younger and they are able to use their own imaginations. To end the lesson, I will have the
students pick a few emotions and create their own powerpoint with my guidance.

Reflective Practice: I feel that this activity will help my students get a better understanding about not only
their emotions but other peoples emotions as well. This activity can impact my students by allowing them to
create their own work in a new and fun way as well as expand their vocabulary. I could extend the lesson by
having volunteers such as a Psychologist come in and talk to the kids more in depth about emotions and how
they could control them or cope with them.
