Course Code / Descriptive Title : MAPE – FOUNDATION OF MUSIC, ART, AND P.E.

Course Description:
Deals with the education foundation of physical education, art and music education respectively. It covers the historical, philosophical, sociological
and psychological theories and principle necessary to understanding the bases for the various activities involved. The course shall interrelate the
different the different subject into common understanding of its important in the MAPE and in the life human being.
Vision:

The improvement of the QUALITY OF LIFE of the people continues to be the primordial concern of Iligan Capitol as it seeks to develop the youth’s full
potential and positive values in a learner-centered and globally competitive teaching-learning environment.

Mission:

ICC through a relevant, affordable quality education is committed to the development of the “TOTAL PERSONS,” – physically, socially, intellectually,
morally and spiritually – for the manpower needs of the rapidly developing Mindanao and of industrially and technologically growing Philippines.

Institutional Outcomes (IO):

Integral to the attainment of its mission, ICC commits itself to:

A. To provide programs for students that would enrich their educational experience;
B. To implement innovative strategies in producing globally competitive graduates;
C. To uphold the ideals of Science and Virtue for God and country;

Program Educational Outcomes (PEO):

The Bachelor of Elementary Education /Bachelor of Secondary Education (BEED/BSED) program aims to develop highly motivated and competent teachers
specializing in the content and pedagogy for elementary and secondary education.

Program Outcomes (PO):

The graduates of the BEED/BSED program shall have acquired the knowledge and competences necessary to perform the following:
a. Articulate and discuss the latest developments in the specific field of practice;
b. Effectively communicate in English and Filipino, both orally and in writing;
c. Work effectively and collaborate with a substantial degree of independence in multi-disciplinary and multi-cultural teams;
d. Act in recognition of professional, social, and ethical responsibility;
e. Preserve and promote “Filipino historical and cultural heritage’;
f. Articulate the rootedness of education in philosophical, socio-cultural, historical, psychological, and political context;
g. Demonstrate mastery of subject matter/discipline;
h. Facilitate learning using a wide range of teaching methodologies and delivery modes appropriate to specific learners and their environments;
i. Develop innovative curricula , instructional plans, teaching approaches, and resources for diverse learners;
j. Apply skills in the development and utilization of ICT to promote quality, relevant, and sustainable educational practices;
k. Demonstrate a variety of thinking skills in planning, monitoring, assessing, and reporting learning processes and outcomes;
l. Practice professional and ethical teaching standards sensitive to the local, national, global realities;
m. Pursue lifelong learning for personal and professional growth through varied experiential and field-based opportunities;
n. Participate in various types of employment, development activities and public discourses, particularly in response to the needs of the communities they
serve.

Course Outcomes:
1. Know what is music, arts and PE
2. Motivate their skill to contemplate arts in the light of the accomplishment of world best artist.
3. Develop the students’ awareness and sensibility of the arts in relation to their social world.
4. Evaluate the interrelationship among the arts within the socio-historical context and thru healthy interactions.
5. Be physical involved in activities thru performance based activities of Philippine arts.
6. Experience ideas, artwork, arts, pure and culture.
