Topic: 10 DOH Approved Herbal Medicine

Title: “Mura at Mabisang Halamang Gamot Lunas para sa Karaniwang Sakit”

Goal: This aims to engage the community to make use of the 10 DOH approved medicinal

plants which can be planted within their backyards. This also aims to increase people’s

awareness about the function, and as well as the proper preparation of the herbal medicine.

Objectives:

1. Enumerate the 10 DOH approved herbal medicine.

2. Determine the correct use of each of the herbal medicine.

3. Distinguish the appearances of each of the herbal medicine.

4. Know the proper preparation of each of the herbal medicine.

Strategic Plan: Health Teaching

Activity Target:

1. Enumerate at least three herbal plants which can be planted in their own backyards.

2. Determine the functions of herbal plants that they choose to plant within their homes.

3. Be familiarized and distinguish the appearance of at least three of the herbal

medicine.

4. Enumerate the proper preparation of at least three of the herbal medicine.

Interventions:

1. Explanation of the purpose and objectives of the activity to the audience.

2. The presentation of the topic includes visual aids, thorough discussion of the topics,
and also question and answer portion to evaluate understanding and engagement of
the participants.
Activity Evaluation:

1. Medicinal plants were given to some households.

2. Each households were able to identify the use of the given medicinal plants.
3. The proper preparation of the medicinal plants were enumerated by the household
after the discussion.
4. Leaflets were distributed for further information readings.
