THE SEREBRIAKOFF ADVANCED (CULTURE FAIR) TEST
This test is recommended for those who do very well on the other tests. By
itself, it can be seen as a culture fair test. It tests your understanding of space
relationships, pattern and design. It also tests your reasoning power and your
ability to grasp underlying principles despite deliberate distraction. These
arrays are bi-logical — like a crossword puzzle they make sense in two
dimensions, down and across. Some are very difficult.
The Test was standardized against a Mensa sample. The level is quite high.
It is not suitable for those below average. There is no time limit.
Instructions
Try to work out the plan, or scheme, or order behind the way the central tiles
are placed so as to find out which of the surrounding scattered tiles fits
reasonably and logically into the space in the array.
Go through the 36 tests. There are eight ‘tiles’ in the central 3 x 3 array
which have an inner bi-logical order. But one tile is missing. You will find it
among the other ones which are scattered around. Find the missing tile among
the lettered ones and write the letter above the tile against the question
number on the answer page. Turn the book sideways so that you can see four
puzzles each time you turn a page. The answer page
Write the letter by the missing tile after each question number.
