IIoT Infrastructure Conference

@ Hannover Messe 2019

Thursday, 4 April 2019, 13:00 to 19:00
Hannover Messe Conference Center: Room Bonn

The IMC, the largest organization dedicated to the IoT sector with 25,000 enterprise users and OEMs as
members, will present an afternoon of panel discussions at Hannover Messe International (HMI) on the
most important practical issues facing IIoT deployments today. HMI attendees can register for the
conference free-of-charge, and panel sessions will conclude with a networking reception.

13:00 Session 1: Connectivity Choices that Fit Applications

Moderator: Pierce Owen, Principal Analyst, ABI Research
Speakers: Kym Byjberg, VP IoT & Mobility, Tata Communications
Speaker to be determined, BICS
There have always been choices for connecting industrial devices, but service
providers are offering more tailored solutions than ever before. Two examples:
low-cost, low-power wireless can save money and increase life-cycles, while
micro-satellites could change the face of ubiquitous coverage for supply chain.

14:30 Session 2: Control Hardware Evolves at the Edge

Moderator: Ansgar Schlautmann, Partner, Solon Management Consulting
Speakers: Volkhard Bregulla, VP Mfg, Auto, & IoT, HPE
Sara Brown, VP of Marketing, Multi-Tech Systems
Speaker to be determined, Telit

Increased computing power at the network’s edge is bringing myriad advantages,

making predictive maintenance and AI tenable for remote, industrial applications.
This session will cover the breadth of the edge, from intelligent actuators/sensors,
through data aggregation, into edge IT pre-processing.

16:00 Session 3: Sourcing IIoT Software Platforms

Moderator: Robin Duke Woolley, CEO & Founder, Beecham Research
Speakers: Fred Yentz, President Strategic Partnerships, IoT Services, Telit
Speaker to be determined, Amazon Web Services

There has been an explosion in the number of options for software that manages
IIoT deployments, and this session will use the template RFP created by the IMC as
its guide. This session will cover device management, connectivity management,
ERP/CRM software integration, analytics, security, and more.

15:30 Networking Reception
