Module 1 (Introduction to Embedded system & Hardware fundamentals)

Description :
Fast track module for Basics of Embedded system & Hardware fundamentals, which will help students
during there design work.

Duration: 1 Week

Module 2 (Introduction to 8051 Based controllers, Programming languages & tools)

Description:
The comprehensive module is through 8051 series controllers to programming languages. The Emphasis is
on writing assembly and C codes. Target device is form Atmel. In this module, you will gain valuable hands
on Experience.

Duration: 4 Week
Module outlines:
l Architecture of 8051
l Registers & Hardware details
l Port organization
l Instruction set
l Assembly and C fundamentals
l Programming tools and technique
l Serial port, Counter & Timers

Labwork:
The lab for this module provides a practical foundation for creating assembly and C code. All aspects of the
design flow are covered in the lab. The lab are written, Synthesized, simulated and implemented by the
students. Student will simulate some good applications.

Module 3 (Introduction to PIC controllers & MPLAB tool study)

Description :
The comprehensive module is a through Introduction to the PIC controllers to Programming concepts. The
Emphasis is on writing C codes. Target device is form Microchip Corporation. Complete knowledge of 8 &
16 bit PIC controllers. In this module, you will gain valuable hands on Experience.

l Assembly & embedded C programming fundamentals
l Programming tools and compliers
l ADC /CCP

Labwork:
The lab for this module provides a practical foundation for creating the C code. All aspects of the design flow
are covered in the lab. The lab are written, Synthesized, simulated and implemented by the students. Student
will simulate some good applications.

Module 4 (Interfacing of I/P devices, O/P devices & Additional interfaces)

Description:
The comprehensive module is through peripheral fundamentals to complete programming logics. The
Emphasis is on writing logics, control and data path issues, codes etc. The information gained can be applied
to any advanced design.

Duration: 2 Week

Module outlines:
l I/P devices like opto – isolatoters, Keypad, timers, counters interfacing and many more.
l O/P devices like LCD , Stepper motor , Relays , Buzzer interfacing and many
l Serial port & Parallel port interfacing
l Memories
l Control & Data path issues
l All interface by Atmel & PIC series controllers.

Labwork:
The lab for this module provides a various applications of peripherals. All aspects of the design flow are
covered in the lab. The lab are written, Synthesized, simulated and implemented by the students.
Student will simulate some good applications.

Module 5 (Mini projects & Applications)

Description:
This module give complete knowledge & design of small embedded system based projects and various
applications of embedded system.

Duration: 1 Week
