Attracting the resurrected Jesus

Luke 24:18
18 Thenthe one whose name was Cleopas answered and said to Him, “Are
You the only stranger in Jerusalem, and have You not known the things
which happened there in these days?”
13 Now
behold, two of them were traveling that same day to a village called
Emmaus, which was seven miles[a] from Jerusalem.

This was the scene after the resurrection happened. And in this, there are
some keys that will help us grow spiritually.

Yesterday, I met one of the most intelligent people who is sitting here. He is
like my brother Melvyn who could talk anything under the sun and we could
relate. Talk to him about space technology, books, music, he could relate. I
like to talk with such people.

And as we were talking, he asked me, “How do your spiritual eyes open?”

And throughout the evening and night, I was meditating how this happened
and in the morning, fair enough, the Holy Spirit spoke to me.

What I am sharing with you is the foundation for your spiritual eyes to open
in Jesus’ name.

If a man’s spiritual eyes are opened, he will never be confused. He will be

steps ahead of the devil.

Today, I believe God does not want us to be at the mercy of the devil. Jesus
died on the cross and He beat up the devil and He gave us the victory.
Receive it in Jesus’ name.

If you are one of those who are not just saying that you want your business
blessed but want something more. I want Jesus. Then, you will receive.

Watch this: Two people travelling on the way called Emmaus.

The first thing is that they were in the right fellowship. Fellowship is the first
key. If you go back to the Book of Genesis; there was a man called
Abraham. The Bible says, he separated from Lot. The moment that he
separated from Lot, God started speaking to him. The next thing God said
to Abraham is ‘look’ and he ‘saw’.

What did Abraham see? For your understanding the human eye can see
only to a certain distance. But I believe that Abraham saw the entire
Promised Land. God told him that “this is the place I give to you”. As long
as Abraham was not in the right company, God did not speak to him. But
the moment there was a separation, there was a sanctification. God started
telling Abraham to “See. See. See”.

I believe God wants to show you things you have never seen before.

Things that are beyond your mind.

Beyond your understanding.

Business ideas.

Strategies.

That will bring the finance into the kingdom of God.

Hallelujah!

Something different. God has not called us to be copycats. God has called
us to be originals. Music. That software. Or that movie. Go and do it.
Receive it.

‘Opening of the eyes’.

Many times when our eyes are closed we perceive things as a problem. But
a man whose eyes are open, he sees the problem as an opportunity to do
something bigger.

What do you see?

Have you seen some people whose eyes are not open, they are always
talking about others. They are always whining. Talking about someone
else. If God will open your eyes, you will thank God for the people around
you. God has put some people around you who are tough, who are so blunt.
They are shaping you, moulding you into what God has called you to be.
Maybe it is a tough boss. A tough company that God has put you in. Some
people like slimy people. These don’t take you anywhere. If you get
offended over small things you are blind. Your eyes are not opened. The
problem is in your lifestyle. Your vision is affected. Your vision is affected
by the company you keep.

If you want to be a visionary, a person who sees before the others can see;
then you need to have the right company.

Many are in a mess and have no idea where to go. You need to be in the
right company.

That’s why you need to attend church every Sunday.

That’s why you need to be connected with godly people.

Not just for an attendance that you attended church.

Two of them were travelling.

1. How do you know that they had the right company?

Fellowship.

Luke 24:14.

And they talked together of all these things which had happened.

They talked of the things that had happened.

You are talking the right stuff.

It’s like you love God and the other person is talking something else.
You just know then that this is not right.

Maybe you read a good book and you are so full of it. You want to
talk to somebody about it and discuss it and the other person is onto
something else.

The right company will lay the foundation for your spiritual eyes to
open.
2. How will you know that you are in the right company?

By your conversation.

This is for the youngsters. Don’t get hooked just with the view of
marriage. If you see a girl, don’t presume that God sent her. Every
person you meet is not your future wife. That person might be the
one leading you to your wife. Learn to be friends first. Friendship is
the foundation for being lovers. You can’t jump into something and
then compromise that you can be friends. Be friends. Have the right
conversations. If it is only beauty that attracts you, then you are in
trouble. You cannot talk to a doll. A doll cannot talk back. Make
friends first. Talk to real people. Learn to talk to people without an
agenda. Everyone needs to fellowship, even the ones who are not
youngsters. And even when there is fellowship talk the right stuff
and not about the pastor or others.

3. 1 Corinthians 15:33 (NKJV)

Do not be deceived: “Evil company corrupts good habits.”

When the Bible says, “Do not be deceived” it means that you can be
deceived. There is an influence on you.

Do not be so deceived and misled! Evil companionships

(communion, associations) corrupt and deprave good
manners and morals and character.

Good manners, morals by which your mother, father have brought

you up with.
Today what is missing in our society? It’s a technology advanced
society but depraved of our morals. There is no character.
Today, if you do a good deed to someone, they don’t even thank
you even when letting some vehicle pass before you. No thank you.
No character. Check out the company that you are in. Otherwise you
will fall and when you rise, it will be too late.

Is this a warning from the Lord? YES.

Are you dating the right person?

Are you moving with the right person?

Please be careful. Your love cannot change a person. It happens

only in the movies.

Check out the right associations because you see church, there was a
proposal for a girl and she rejected the man because he did not have
hair. I’m telling you this because these things are so very important.
A man rejected a woman because she is not fair complexioned. She is
a wonderful woman who will build you up. Is this how we choose
company?

Sad.

Evil company corrupts good habits!

This is one of the primary reasons why we are not able to see in the
spirit. This is the main reason why you don’t have the access to the
supernatural.

Make this your prayer point: God surround me with the right
people in the name of Jesus.

God surround me with the right people, wherever I am,

wherever I go in Jesus’ name.

Father, I pray that You would surround me with the right

people, connect me with the right people in Jesus’ name.
Luke 24:15.

So it was, while they conversed and reasoned, that Jesus Himself

drew near and went with them.

Their conversation and fellowship caused Jesus to draw Jesus near to

them.

I believe that if they were not in the right conversation and the right
fellowship Jesus would have skipped them. Jesus loves fellowship.
When two Christians are fellowshipping, they are talking, the Lord
says, “I need to be there”. This is one of the keys. Imagine when
you marry the right person; the Lord will walk with you. When two
people gossip and talk about someone – no wonder Jesus does not
draw near to you. You have the style but you don’t have the
substance.

Right fellowship brings the right conversation; right conversation

attracts the presence of Jesus. The right conversation will never
shame you. The right conversation will never condemn you. The
right conversation will always build you.

Don’t condemn your husband. Don’t condemn your wife. Build them
up. Are you listening? This is one of the keys of Resurrection
Sunday. The message attracting the risen Saviour. People
around you want to see the Risen Saviour in you. Tell the people
that He walks with me; He talks with me; He lives with me.
Hallelujah! Ask the Lord to “come with me. Live with me. Come
into my house.” You will see the resurrection power flowing into every
area of your life. Your dream; you Lazarus was buried. Your dream
will be resurrected in Jesus’ name.

Lift your hands and say, “Lord, I believe.”

Don’t depend on your religious ideas. Depend on the Risen Saviour.

Luke 24:16.

But their eyes were restrained, so that they did not know Him.

‘Restrained’ – in other words, their eyes were not opened.

You will know Jesus intimately once your spiritual eyes are opened.

Many people say that spiritual eyes open for the prophetic, for
healing. Your spiritual eyes open to ‘know’ Jesus.

Lord, open my eyes to know You.

Lord, open my eyes to know You more intimately.

Don’t live in offence, in bitterness. This is childish behavior.

Luke 24:17.

And He said to them, “What kind of conversation is this that you have
with one another as you walk and are sad?”

Words can lift you up and words can pull you down.

Leaders, when you talk to people don’t ‘beat’ them up. They
should see you as one who has the ‘word’ in the mouth and in the
heart. Don’t condemn people. Love people.

Jesus asked them, “What kind of conversation is this that you are
having”.

Conversation should build a person. Conversation should lift a

person.

I’m not saying that you don’t rebuke. There is a place to rebuke.
Imagine a mother only pampering her child. She also disciplines her
child with a spanking when needed.

Luke 24:18.

Then the one whose name was Cleopas answered and said to
Him, “Are You the only stranger in Jerusalem, and have You not
known the things which happened there in these days?”

Luke 24:19.

And He said to them, “What things?”

So they said to Him, “The things concerning Jesus of Nazareth, who

was a Prophet mighty in deed and word before God and all the
people,

Luke 24:25.

Then He said to them, “O foolish ones, and slow of heart to believe

in all that the prophets have spoken!

Sometimes Jesus’ words are strong!

Luke 24:26.

Ought not the Christ to have suffered these things and to enter into
His glory?”

The First Key: Fellowship.

The Second Key: Get into the Scripture.

Luke 24:27.

And beginning at Moses and all the Prophets, He expounded to them

in all the Scriptures the things concerning Himself.

Genesis was written by Moses.

In other words, Scriptures in Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers,

and Deuteronomy – Christ is hidden in them and He explained to them
that all these scriptures talk about me. Every book of the Bible
speaks about Jesus.

I had spoken on this at the Good Friday’s Service as to how the

relationship of Jacob and his Father represents us and our Father. I
had said that how we do not deserve the blessing which was to go
to the elder son but because of that covering the blessing came on us.
The Father when He smells us. The Father when He sees us, He
doesn’t ‘see’ us, He sees His elder Son. And Jesus probably
explained all these things. It is not a fairy tale. I (Jesus) am
everywhere in scripture.

The Second Key is: To get into the scripture.

I asked Prophet Charles Ibrahim, “How do you grow in the prophetic?”

And he said, “Get into the Word”.
The scripture will open your spiritual eyes.

That’s why I tell people, “Get into the Word”. And God will
prepare you for the things that are coming. He can talk to you in
dreams. He can save your life. God will always speak to His
children. People blame God. I was one of those. I had dreams of
those things that were about to happen.

God is showing you all the things that need to be done and still you
are not doing it.

Jesus showed all through the scriptures. This is after the

resurrection.

David wrote that, “Your Word makes me wiser than my enemies”.

He says, “By Your Word, I have more understanding”.

There are many spiritual grandfathers here who are sitting at the
back. I too was like one. I said, that one day I want to preach like
this! I used to listen to great men of God. I used to go home and
study the Word of God. And pray to God to give me understanding.
I’m not ashamed to say that my first message, I copied from Paul
Dinakaran. But after that I started developing myself.

But some of you are so spiritually dull. When you lay your hands on
your son what are you going to give him? You should be able to
say, “Son, I don’t have money, but when I lay my hands on you,
heaven’s inheritance will be yours”.

Enough is enough.

Get in the Word. This is the second Key to walking with the
resurrected Saviour.
How do you describe an elephant to a blind man?

How many of you know the poem by Poet H W Longfellow?

So one blind man comes and touches the tail of the elephant and
tells people that the elephant is like a rope.

Another blind man comes and touches the legs and says that the
elephant is like a pillar.

The elephant is neither like a rope nor like a pillar.

That’s how many Christians are!

You tell them that is not right and that you will mess up here. They
don’t heed. The problem is: their eyes are not open.

What I’m saying is that in these coming days you will need this
teaching. It will save you a lot of pain and heartache if you will listen
to this word. Many times the Lord will show me the things that are
coming; people who are coming. Things that I need to do. In dreams
and visions. The Lord will show me church. And this is what I am
sharing my heart with you. Many times we do not understand what
God has given in front of us. We are waiting for someone to come
from somewhere and deliver the goods. My friend, don’t be like a
foolish person. God is telling you and showing you how you can do it.

My wife is sitting here and she knows the struggles that I am going
through. I keep asking prophets of God as to how do they do it and
not one has shared with me the secret. And here am I telling you
the inside structure how to do this. You do not value me. If you
love me, then do. Jesus said, “If you love me do what I say”. There
are some here who are also hungry for God.
The third point:

Luke 24:28.

Then they drew near to the village where they were going, and He
indicated that He would have gone farther.

This is the message of Resurrection Sunday. (Easter Sunday).

Luke 24:29.

But they constrained Him, saying, “Abide with us, for it is toward
evening, and the day is far spent.” And He went in to stay with them.

‘Constrained him’ meaning ‘forced him’.

Confess: Jesus, please stay with us.

Church, you are not the only one that is calling on the Lord in the
service. There are thousands of people calling on the Lord Jesus. But
if you are the ‘one’ who can say, “Lord I ‘want’ you to be here”, I tell
you, the Lord will stand before you today. Hallelujah!!!

In yesterday’s meeting (FBM) I saw a man and there was a cheque

book in his pocket. I told him that you are writing out cheques but it
is empty. Your business is over. He confirmed that it is true. The
moment you start to worship the Lord, things happen.

You got to hold on to the Lord. That’s what is called ‘Earnest

Prayer’. The Bible says that, “the earnest fervent prayer of a
righteous man avails much”. If the prayer has not been producing
the fruit, the prayer is not earnest; it’s not fervent.

Some people are complacent with prayer in a service. In the

hospital, there are mothers who storm heaven when faced with a
critical situation over their loved ones.

Someone once wrote that earnest prayers are not prayed in churches
but in the ICUs of the hospitals.

I enquired with someone who was closely associated with Uncle D J

Dinakaran how he prays. He answered that in prayer he was soaked
in tears.

Even Prophet Rabindranath prays with tears because he said that

there is a bottle of tears in heaven and I cry so much before God
that He is forced to answer my prayers.

Don’t stand in style during prayer and don’t be complacent.

Implore with the Lord to “please come”.

God will pass by all those who stand in ‘style’ and come to you as you
pray earnestly and say, “daughter, your tears have attracted Me, you
constrained Me, your fervency and earnestness constrained Me to
come to you”.

Fervent Prayer.
 Do you know why I kneel? I do not do it for style. I tell the Lord,
“Lord, if You do not come, I cannot do it”. “If You don’t come, it’s all
a waste”. “These people have come to meet You Lord, I don’t have
anything to give them Lord. Can You get me to that fervency mode?”

When you pray, it’s not because you have to say something, my life
depends on it.

I challenge somebody. Many people have left you. You have come
to a zero. But Resurrection Sunday, your life will change.

Shout a Hallelujah!

When you shout a Hallelujah, it should touch the Lord’s throne.

Amen.

The presence of God has come down right now. Stop and pray for the
people (the ones reading this right now).

When you wake up in the morning, don’t just pray because you have
to say something. Fervency is the key.

Moses said that, “if You don’t go Lord, I’m not going”.

If Christians said that, there would be revival in Mumbai.

Today, there will be revival in Karuna Sadan, in your business, lift your
hands and call on to the Lord, “Come Lord”.

Your relationships are changing right now.

4. Luke 24:30.

Now it came to pass, as He sat at the table with them, that He took
bread, blessed and broke it, and gave it to them.
Now Jesus is seated with them. He is not walking with them but He is
sitting with them. It is one thing to walk with the Lord and it is another
thing to sit with the Lord.

Before the resurrection, the disciples walked with Jesus. But after the
resurrection they will sit with Jesus. It’s a deeper fellowship.

Someone lift your hands and say, “I receive”.

Paul understood this. And he wrote in Ephesians 1, “We the church is

seated with Christ in heavenly places”.

You may say that Jesus was sitting on a stool in Jerusalem. Wherever
Jesus sits, even a stool that becomes a throne.

Before the resurrection the disciples walked with Jesus. But after the
resurrection they sat with Jesus. You have to sit with Jesus. He will
share His secrets and He will prepare a table for you in the midst of
your enemies. In the next fifteen days you will testify. What’s the fun
of sitting alone in a 5 star hotel and watching the others?

Now it came to pass, as He sat at the table with them, that He took
bread, blessed and broke it, and gave it to them.

Luke 24:31.

Then their eyes were opened and they knew Him; and He vanished
from their sight.
Their eyes were opened and they just knew Him. And He vanished
from their sight.

Why did He vanish?

We don’t walk by sight. We walk by faith.

We don’t need to see Jesus on the wall. Picture or no picture, Jesus is

still ‘looking’ at you.

Many say that Veronica has the face of Jesus.

Nobody has the face of the Resurrected Jesus!

That’s why they could not recognize Him. Are you receiving these
truths?

Nobody has the picture of the Resurrected Jesus. As they did these
four things, their eyes were opened to see the resurrected Jesus. And
from today onwards, you will see the Lord Jesus.

I decree and declare as the man of God spoke over my life, I declare
over your life, “You will see the Lord in Jesus’ name”.

The man of God said this over my life.

I declare that, “You will see the Lord”

Receive it.

The Blind Man And The Elephant
It was six men of Indostan, to learning much inclined,
who went to see the elephant (Though all of them were blind),
that each by observation, might satisfy his mind.

The first approached the elephant, and, happening to fall,

against his broad and sturdy side, at once began to bawl:
"God bless me! but the elephant, is nothing but a wall!"

The second feeling of the tusk, cried: "Ho! what have we here,
so very round and smooth and sharp? To me tis mighty clear,
this wonder of an elephant, is very like a spear!"

The third approached the animal, and, happening to take,

the squirming trunk within his hands, "I see," quoth he,
the elephant is very like a snake!"

The fourth reached out his eager hand, and felt about the knee:
"What most this wondrous beast is like, is mighty plain," quoth he;
"Tis clear enough the elephant is very like a tree."

The fifth, who chanced to touch the ear, Said; "E'en the blindest man
can tell what this resembles most; Deny the fact who can,
This marvel of an elephant, is very like a fan!"

The sixth no sooner had begun, about the beast to grope,

than, seizing on the swinging tail, that fell within his scope,
"I see," quothe he, "the elephant is very like a rope!"

And so these men of Indostan, disputed loud and long,

each in his own opinion, exceeding stiff and strong,
Though each was partly in the right, and all were in the wrong!

So, oft in theologic wars, the disputants, I ween,

tread on in utter ignorance, of what each other mean,
and prate about the elephant, not one of them has seen!
