II. EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

Casa de Churro is a food business owned by Mr. Wan Miguel Cruz Suarez
together with his service employees EllyckaRowenTubig and Rialyn Gonzales. It is a
sole proprietorship that sells the best Churros in different flavors served with either
caramel or chocolate dip dedicated for all people with sweet tooth. Everything is
handcrafted carefully and thoroughly assuring the cleanliness of the product to avoid any
contaminations. The owners wants to make Casa de Churro business into a great
invention that will help in reaching its ultimate objective in the process of continuous
improvement of the product wherein it offers a sweet and melt-in-the-mouth snack with a
reasonable price and wherein the owner claims to bring smile and satisfaction in every
bite. The Churros are consumable anytime of the day year-round. Casa de Churro is
available to everyone who enjoys it. In the food industry, it foresees that it will be a great
contribution and impact in the world of pastries.

Mission Statement

Casa de Churro’s mission is “to bring customers delight with every taste and
bite”. Casa de Churro is dedicated to providing top of the line products and quality
service. It is our goal to prosper as a business and grow as entrepreneurs. By doing so, we
share our success in the market as well as provide a profitable return to our team
members and business partners.

Vision Statement

Casa de Churro’s vision is to be a desirable-pastry snack provider in Capas to


satisfy the urge for the sweet taste that is craved several times a day (After meals, in
breaks and the “merienda”) and that is part of our cultural and culinary heritage. Aside
from these, Casa de Churro shall have the unique selling proposition of “Home of the
Best Churros!”

Objectives

 To bring the customer a satisfaction in terms of the products, ambiance, and the
excellence of services.

 To impart experiences of new delicacies from other countries.

 To offer the community wholesome foods that are satisfying, great tasting, and
worth every cent.

 To introduce new products in the local market.

 To give our customers entertainment and right treatment.

Business Philosophy

Casa de Churro’s goal is not only to satisfy the cravings of the customers, but also

to make them feel like home. Aside from the very tasty and unique stick dough churros,

theyalso make sure that the crews they hire are friendly and approachable enough to

make Casa de Churro a truly home for churros lovers.

Target Market

The target market of Casa de Churro would be anyone who resides near the
Walter Mart Capas (the location of our branch). According tothe survey, people of any
age would love to patronize their product since it’s a tasty snack for people with sweet
tooth.

Industry

The “Casa de Churro” is a growth industry who aims to expand its business in
the coming years. Because it is a long-term type of business the entrepreneur looks
forward to have franchise and other business partners to achieve its goal to expand. The
“Casa de Churro” is also expected to up high its standard to continuously satisfy its
customers and to maintain the quality of their product

Strengths and Core Competencies

Casa de Churro is the first churro parlor in town, not just in Capas but also into
the whole province of Tarlac. Casa de Churro serves unique varieties of churros, namely:
banana churros and carrot churros. It is also looking forward to have products which are
healthier than fried churros like baked churros.

Moreover, it is very affordable and is a high quality product than the other churros
parlors outside Tarlac parameter. Lastly, its packaging and product presentation is very
‘instagramable’ and very appealing to the millennial.

Legal form of Ownership

The business is considered as a sole proprietor because there is only one person
that is ruling and handling the business. This is the simplest and most common form used

when starting a new business. It is also easy to start a business when it is handled by one
person wherein it is controlled and liable to the owner itself.

Product Description

Churros are tasty deep fried, ridged sticks of dough, sugar or cinnamon-sprinkled, it also
consist different variety of flavors such as oreo, banana and carrots that will be served
with warm chocolate or caramel sauce for dipping. Also, our churros will be served into
four pieces per serving. The product itself is made out of dough that molds properly in
order to present the main body of churros which consists by 5 inches in size in a vertical
shape.

Casa de Churro’s main goal is to satisfy the customers and ensure that every product that
will be sold is properly measured and cooked to avoid food spoilage. For the safety of the
customers, the staffs and employees will make sure to follow the health and sanity
standard to maintain the cleanliness of the work place as well as the food they cater.

Furthermore, the employees will be trained to serve the customers well with
proper manner and respect while special orders and requestsare entertained as well.

Casa de Churro’s purpose in the market is to give the customer’s needs and

satisfaction. In order to reach the goal in this business industry, the owner will do his best

to make sure that his crews serve their customers well. The owner wants to make his

business grow, expand, and develop into more established business. He also wants to be

competitive in such a way that is helpful to the expansion of his business.

Strategy (Marketing Strategy)

Before the owner entered into this business, he formed a plan to make his product

unique. He considers his product asexceptional because he set a twist in each of his

product. In this strategy, hecan attract the customer’s attention and this will help to the

development of his business. Once he launches his business, he will assure that the

customers will not be disappointed.

Promotion Strategies (Online)

The owner will launch and promote the products via social media (Facebook,

InstagramandTwitter) which is convenient and a low-cost method. He wants to project a

professional and visual successful image. He wants his customers to view his business as

progressive, friendly, and reliable.

To support the graphic image, the owner himself has designed a logo that will

represent his business. The interior design will follow the image and color of the logo. He

also has brochures during the launching of his product. He will develop a Customer

Relationship Management Software – a system that will identify repeat customers so he

can offer them packages, send them reminders and offer them unexpected bonuses.

Promotional Budget

The owner’s promotion strategy won’t cost much. Printed brochures can cost as low as

1,500 pesos. The brochures will be distributed to people in many different locations.

Promotion online wouldn’t cost anything unless he have gadgets and internet connection

and effort. He will promote on social media sites using a page dedicated to Casa de

Churro. Having it online creates endless opportunities and more chances for the business

to be noticed by many people. Moreover, the owner will take reviews, comments, and

suggestions that can help us develop his business.

Casa de Churro will be a stall-type business that will be located inside the new

proposed mallof Walter Mart Capas.The owner wants the place of his business to be

familiarized and to be easily accessed by the customers, which will give Casa de Churro a

better advantage to be disseminated and well known to the nearby places.

The target customers of the business would be anyone who loves and wants to try
out the product which is “churros”. That could be students, working individuals, families,
couples and group of friends.

Distribution Channels

In this proposal, the business will distribute the products via retail. Retailing is

selling of products to ultimate consumers for personal or household consumption whereas

it performs marketing functions that make it possible for consumers to have access to a

broad variety of products and services.

Production

 Production techniques and costs

Casa de Churro” costs 1,000,000 (per capital); this is based on how many
materials are sold and how many dairy has been used for the churro. Casa de churro
wants to increase the revenue as fast as possible, that means we need to make enough
to cover up the variables costs each month.

 Quality Control

The quality control is the activity of checking goods as they are produced to

make sure that the final products are good. The Casa de Churro strictly observe

cleanliness, it follows proper hygiene and sanitation to avoid the spoliation of their

products. It practices FIFO (First In, First Out). The Casa de Churro’s raw materials

will be supplied by Anne N’ Archie store, a well-known store that provides high

quality of materials and ingredients. The business ensures the good quality and

freshness of their products.

 Customer Service

The “Casa de Churro” serves the best of the best’s services in town. It

ensures the right of every costumer that provides free reviews for the improvement

of the business. It allows the customers to feel free on what suggestions and

commentaries they may give for the services that can be a good instrument to

develop well oriented employees and worthy services. The “Casa de Churro” aims to

gratify the needs of each customer and of course to satisfy the cravings of the

consumers.

Inventory control shows the process of production, making a complete list of the

things that are in place. By means of this, it allows the production well organized and

more systematic.

Discovering new products and new flavors and twist is hard but through the help
of innovation and research, the Casa de Churro’ will manage to introduce other

The stall of the business will be located at the newly proposed Walter Mart Capas.

Access: The location of the stall is located at Walter Mart Capas, since it has its own
parking lot and is along the Mc Arthur Highway, it should be easily accesed for all of
the customers then.

License and permit bonds are type of commercial surety bonds required of many

business industries. The term license bond and permit bonds are often used

interchangeably to refer to this general type of surety bond. A license and permit bond

protects consumers by guaranteeing businesses will adhere to laws and other regulations

enforced by federal, state and local government agencies.

ensures to not create health and safety problems to its employees, contractors, volunteers,

customers or the public.

Since the stall is inside the premises of “Walter Mart”, the owner must follow the
Building Code that the management gave him. Thus, he shall build the stall according to
the management of “Walter Mart”.

Business insurance coverage protects business from losses due to events that may

occur during the normal course of business.

The Casa de Churro is insured in any kind of damages on its structure itself.
Securing all the properties including the materials, equipments, machineries and also the
stall itself.

 Legal Liability

It includes the insurance of the legal cost of the product, securing the financial losses

systematically and ensuring the good quality of the products and services, this may also

include the legality of the business, that it is registered to BIR, DTI and has Licensing

permits.

that there is adequate change. She also maintains clean and orderly checkout areas and

calculators, cash registers, or optical price scanners.

The cook is the one who cooks and decorates the food for the customers. She
should also determine production schedules and staffs requirements necessary to ensure
timely delivery of services. Estimate amounts and costs of required supplies, such as food
and ingredients, inspect supplies, equipment, and work areas to ensure conformance to
established standards, Monitor sanitation practices.

 Where and how will you find the right employees?

Casa de Churro’s hiring system involves social media platforms in order to inform
our potential applicants. An interview will be conducted by the owner together with basic
assessment.

• Quality of existing staff

The company will assure that the selected employees undergone a carefully
evaluated deliberation, in order to prevent unpleasant treatment on our beloved
customers.

• Training methods and requirements

The company will provide trainings and orientation for the upcoming employees
to ensure that they are able to follow the standard food preparation and proper
sanitation. The requirements for the employment are; Resume, PSA Birth Certificate,
Barangay Clearance, Police Clearance, to ensure the legitimacy of the applicant and the
for the security of the company as well. Casa de Churro also requests the employees to
have their healthcare IDs together with SSS, PhilHealth and Pag-Ibig account numbers
for further insurances.

located at #816 Tobias St. San Agustin Concepcion, Capas, Tarlac. 700 per sack of flour,
96 pesos per tray of eggs, 50 pesos per piece of butter (large in size), 32 pesos for every
bottle of vanilla extract, 48 perkilo of white sugar, 50 pesos per liter of vegetable oil, 60
pesos for every 1 kilo of cocoa powder, 37 pesos of every 390 grams of condensed milk,
50 per kilo of banana peeling, 40 per kilo of carrots and 65 per pack of oreo (10 pieces).
In which they are the one who supplies our raw materials which we get bigger amount of
discounts.

Credit Policies

The owner does not plan to sell using credits for it is not a merchandising business like
sari-sari store where the owner can offer credits to anyone they know. Casa de Churro is
a manufacturing business whereas the customers buy the products then pay right away. If
the business will accept credits, it will only lead to failure due to shortage of money for
some people might not be able to pay their debts.

Wan Miguel Suarez.

The owner himself and his service employees which are Rialyn Gonzales and
EllyckaRowenTubig will give their time to monitor and manage the business and to build

VIII. PERSONAL FINANCIAL STATEMENT

I, Wan Miguel C. Suarez, owner of Casa de Churro, will continue to pursue my


goals in making this shop to be at its best. With effort and dedication I believe everything
is possible.

Since I was a kid, I wanted to buy everything I want but as I grew up realizing
that money is not easily penetrated, I taught myself to save enough for future purposes.

I outgrew my love for churros and started to create this business where I allotted
200,000 pesos as my capital investment.

Adaptability, creative thinking, and the application of technology are now


intrinsic to managing finances. I have developed these principles that helped me in
approaching problems from different perspectives.

I am always fascinated in studying entrepreneurship since it deals with many


different aspects.
