Vitamin C in lemon tea

−Abstract−
According to JAS for determination of vitamin C, indophenol is used as sample liquid
and titrated with test sample but this method requires exchange of titration solution
for each test sample. In our method, the sample was titrated with the indophenol
solution of which factor was predetermined to make the process easier for
determination of concentration.
−Equipment−
Main unit：Automatic potentiometric titrator AT-510
Detector：Standard preamplifier STD-510
Combined Pt electrode C-272 + #429-0012

−Reagent−
Titration solution：Indophenol solution

−Method−
(1) The sample was centrifuged at 3500rpm for 10 minutes.
(2) To 200mL beaker, about 1g of the above was added.
(3) Added pure water to make it total 100mL, and added 5 drops of acetic acid.
(4) Titrated with indophenol solution to determine concentration.

Concentration (%)：(EP1-BL1)×C1×K1/SIZE
EP1: volume (mL) BL1: blank (mL)=0 SIZE: sample size (mL)
C1: concentration conversion (mg/mL)=0.2712 K1: unit conversion coefficient=10
