A NARRATIVE REPORT ON WATER RESERVOIR

I. INTRODUCTION
We all know that fresh and clean water is considered a limited resource. While it is
true that most of the planet is covered with water, only 3% of it is potable or safe for
drinking and human consumption. Occurrences such as droughts or El Nino and water
pollution could limit the access to clean and fresh water in the world—meaning
people need to take steps to reduce water use and save as much water as possible.

In some areas of the world, access to water is limited due to contamination or

pollution. People who have access to fresh water can take steps to limit their use of
water to avoid waste. In fact, as the world population rises, clean and potable water
will be more needed.
In the Philippine setting where water is nearly everywhere, problems on clean and
safe water is also a problem. This sheds light on the idea of water conservation among
Filipinos. Because clean water is very limited, Filipinos realized that they must
developed their own ways of conserving water.

In Tumauini National High School, several programs and projects were already made
to conserve water and to avoid water pollution. One of these projects is the
installation of water reservoir in all buildings. During rainy seasons, these reservoirs
serve as catch basins for the rainwater which will be used for comfort rooms and
watering plants. This program really helped the school utilized rainwater for water
efficiency and conservation.

II. OBJECTIVES
A. Create an efficient tool (water reservoir) that would store rainwater,
B. Minimize school’s expenditure on water consumption,
C. Educate students with the importance of water conservation.
III. DOCUMENTATION

MAKING POSSIBILITIES. Philippine National Police (PNP) extended its

help in painting water reservoirs that would be installed in various buildings to
address the need for water conservation.

ACCESSIBLE WATER. The installed water reservoir made water

accessible in Tumauini National High School.
