welcome guests, good evening! (Voice with excitement)

A warm welcome to the Area G1 Speech & Table Topics Contests of

Year 2017/2018.

The benefits of speech contests are many. They are an important part
of the Toastmasters educational program. They provide an opportunity
for Toastmasters to gain speaking experience, as well as an opportunity
for other Toastmasters to learn by observing proficient speakers. They
are also challenging, offering speakers the chance to use their skills &
talents and allow them to advance to another higher level of
achievements. Let us give a thunderous round of applause to all our
Contestants this evening.

The legendary american football coach, Paul Bryant ever said: “If you
believe in yourself and have dedication and pride - and never quit, you'll
be a winner. The price of victory is high but so are the rewards.”

I wish each Contestant this evening EVERY SUCCESS.

I shall now pass the control of lectern to the Contest Toastmaster of the
International Speech Contest. Let us put our hands together to welcome
ACB Chandra Appavoo.
Contest Thank you Organising Chair TM Chloe Phuah.

TM A warm welcome to Area G1 Speech and Table-Topics Contests
