Introduction
Those 20 days that I spent in the company may be one of the best moments I ever had. There are
some situations that we encountered inside the company that are far different from the one that
we encountered on our home and classroom.
This Work Immersion helps me to improve not just my personality, but also my socialization
which is important to me. I learned that every task that they gave to us must be finished without
removing the quality of it. This Immersion helps me to interact with different people with
different personalities.
This Work Immersion proves that every hard work pays. It also make me realize that doing the
actual job is far easy than just listening to it. I am very thankful for those people who helped me
and to our school that gave me this opportunity to grow and learn more from this Work
Immersion activity that they gave us. This activity is one of the moments that I won’t forget.

Getting Acquainted with the Company/ Office
It was April 25 when our school first introduced us to our company. I thought that this
immersion will be so boring and will have an unfriendly environment. But I was wrong the
company and its employees proved that our Immersion will be so fun. The employees and even
the Korean boss are friendly and approachable. I can say that I’m so proud that I had the
opportunity to meet these friendly staffs in our company.

The history of Semirecycling Co,Inc goes back to 2003, starting as a recycling of used
and scrap materials in the philippines.We focus on providing total waste management service
which is included collection,transportation,recycling, refining and treatment.
With our utilized and innovated service, we could provide the know-how of total waste
management services in the most effective ways
Business scale of Semirecycling is imcreasing worldwide with a central focus on Asia. We will
strongly expand and promote our total waste management technologies to contribute for the next
genereation

On Job Training Experience

Day 1:
Today was the first day of our OJT. I woke up early and prepare for my first day. I was so
excited because this is my first time going on a huge company like SRCI. I texted Shawn and
asked him if he is all packed up, after that we went to Jerald’s house. The three of us went to Sta.
Maria so that we can all go together at the company. While all of us are waiting for a jeepney
Patrick told us that he knew the way so we trusted him. While we’re on the jeepney Patrick told
us that we took the wrong one. All of us are laughing and we asked our seatmate on jeepney if
they knew the right way. After the guy beside me told us the right way we followed what he said
and we finally got to the company, but we’re late. We’re on the gate then suddenly the guard
approached us and asked if we’re the trainees. He guided us at the lobby and we started waiting
there. A girl named Mam Jonalyn called and introduces us to our Boss named Boss Jeff. He
looks so innocent but in reality he is pervert, he always calls us “Malibi”. He introduced us on
the different working areas and to the other employees. After introducing us to the company we
ate our lunch, we ate our lunch at the smoking area away from the workers. At first I thought that
we may not get close to them but I’m wrong. The workers there are so friendly with us, they talk
to us like we’ve all met before. After that we we’re all called at the office. A girl named Mam
Carole discussed to us the rules and regulations of their company. No late, no cellphones inside
the working area, and specially respect to other workers are some of their main rules. They also
discussed to us our weekly salary. After the discussion of their rules we went to the working are,
we’re not doing much that time so we decided to just clean the area. After cleaning we prepared
our things so that we can go home.

SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL
Day 2:
On the second day, Shawn and I did the same routine. Although we all know the way to
our company we still got late because of heavy traffic and the hassle on taking jeepney at the
jeepney stop right beside the Astro Park. At the time that we reached on the company we logged
on our DTR’s and quickly went on the working area. Boss Jeff asked us why we’re late and told
him that we’re not yet familiar on the way. After that we all started our work some we’re tasked
to dismantle computer parts, some are sorting the dismantled parts, and the last one was tasked to
assemble his own system unit. Patrick was the first one who’s tasked to assemble system unit
from scraps. Shawn and I were sorting while Jerald and Leonel we’re dismantling. At exactly
12:00 PM all of us went on the barracks and ate our lunch. The guard blew his whistle meaning
that the lunch time was over so we went back on the working area. We are still doing the same
thing that we’re doing in the morning sorting, dismantling, and setting up until we realized that
it’s 5:00 PM and Its time to go home.

SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL
Day 3:
Third day still doing the same thing. On this day we’re still not used to the way. We’re
still late but not as late as the days 1 and 2. We’re still doing the same thing from day 2. While
Patrick was waiting for his OS to install Boss Jeff called him, he said that he need 2 guys to put
the CCTVs near the barracks area so Shawn went there with him. Jerald, Leonel and I are still
doing the same while talking to each other. Leonel tells us funny stories that makes us noisy for
the other areas which they don’t tolerate. 12:00 PM we ate our lunch with the workers and the
guard told us that we can get our phones during lunch time and surrender it after. We took our
phones and used them. While Jerald is sleeping deeply, the four of us are laughing and we took
pictures of him while sleeping. After the lunch we get back to work and just did the same thing.
After we finished our work and cleaning the area, Boss Jeff let us take a rest and wait till it’s
5:00 PM so that we can go home. It’s 5:00 PM and were all prepared to go home.

Day 4:
On the fourth day, We’re slightly getting used to our way to the company. After logging
in all of us are thinking about our salary which will be given to us on the fifth day. We requested
some gloves on the lobby and went to the working area. Our boss requested to us that we must
wear white shirts so that the other guys in the company knows that were trainees. At first we
disagree that were wearing white because of the job there we’re full of dusts that will make our
white shirts dirty but that’s the company rules and we must follow them. On this day Shawn was
the one which is assigned to setup a system unit so he was sitting in front of his PC while were
doing our jobs. We ate our lunch and took our phones so that we can use them while were
waiting. After that we went back to the working are to continue what we’re doing. Its 5:00 PM
and Its time to go home so we logged out on our DTR’s and went back home.
SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL
Day 5:
This is our fifth day, Jerald, Shawn, and I decided that we’re taking a jeepney from
Jerald’s house to Marquee instead of going to Sta. Maria. All of us agreed on that thing which is
favor to us. When we arrived at marquee we took another jeepney to go to Astro Park. On our
new way Jerald, Shawn, and I arrived at the Astro Park earlier than the other 2 guys. While were
waiting for the other 2 we bought some foods and ate them. After almost 20 minutes the other 2
arrived and we took a jeepney which will drop us exactly at the front of our company, we’re late
as usual. Same things same scenario setting up and dismantling computers. After we finished our
work Mam Jonalyn called us at the office, we signed a paper proving that we get our weekly
salary complete. After accepting our salary we decided to go to SM Clark. We bought foods
before we go home.
SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL
Day 6:
This is the second week of our OJT. This is just a normal day, same routine from going to
the company and same routine at the workplace. Eating our lunch at 12:00 PM and using our
phones until 1:00 PM. Going back at the workplace and continuing our job until 5:00 and going
home
Day 7:
In day 7 I was the one who’s assigned to assemble system unit. At first I had a hard time
on picking the right Power Supply for my system unit because some of the Power Supplies from
the scrap are broken which can cause fire. I remember the first time that Jerald picked the wrong
Power Supply after Jerald plugged the Power Supply it produced a smoke with bad smell. After
assembling my system unit our boss gave me the CDs for installing operating system. Its 12:00
PM and I’m still waiting for my OS to install so Boss Jeff told me that I can leave my PC open
while installing so we can take our lunch. While I’m getting my phone I asked the guard if the
phones are able to bring inside the working area during lunch, the guard said that even us are not
allowed there during lunch so I can’t take pictures of our working area. After lunch I continued
my system unit until it’s 5:00 PM and I’m done with the system unit that I set up. We logged out
on our DTRs and went home.

Day 8:
On the day 8 of our OJT, Leonel was the one who’s assigned to setup system unit. He had
hard times on picking the right hard drive and Random Access Memory (RAM). It took him
almost 2hrs on picking the right hard drive and RAM. While he is setting up his computer we’re
doing our jobs too. 12 PM and we take our lunch wait until 1 PM and go back to work. Badly
Leonel’s system unit got corrupted for no specific reason so he did not continue to setup it. Our
boss took us at the area which all the White Gold are being made and Kept. He let us touch and
carry them but he warned us that there are CCTVs in the area we tried to carry them and they’re
so heavy. It’s 5PM and we logged out and prepared ourselves to go home again.
Day 9:
On day 9 Leonel tried to setup his own system unit again. While he’s setting up I’m
sorting the computer parts which are being dismantled by my friends. Boss Jeff called all of us
and we went to the area where all the systems units that we’re dismantling are kept. We need to
go above a pile of Power Cords and VGAs in order to get the system units that needs to be
dismantled. Climbing up in a pile of cords are easy for my friends because they’re all tall except
me. I had a hard time climbing because I have short legs obviously and I’m wearing pants. After
we transported the system units to our area we took our lunch break. After lunch break we
dismantled the system units. We logged out at 5 PM and go home.

SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL
Day 10:
It’s Day 10! And we’re halfway through our OJT. We’re being closed to our Boss and
our workmates. As usual doing the same thing setting up, dismantling, and sorting computer
parts until 12 PM. In the lunch time one of the staff in the company celebrated his/her birthday
so they had some foods. All of my friend including me are shy to go there but our close
workmate named “Konsehal” forced us to eat with them. After eating we went back to work and
waited until its time. Before 5 PM Mam Cha called us at the office and gave us the form which
me need to sign. After signing she gave us our salary and we went home.
Day 11:
It’s Day 11 and 3rd week of our OJT. We clean and wrap all the System Units that we
setup in the last few weeks. In the morning we gather system units on the pile of wires that I
mentioned before and dismantled them in the Afternoon.
Day 12:
Day 12 just looks like a normal day. We go to the company on time because we are now
familiar to the way. After we arrived there we do our common job, dismantling and sorting
computer parts.

Day 13:
Day 13 is cleaning day because there are visitors that will inspect the whole working
area. Our boss didn’t require us to dismantle and sort computer parts, he told us we just need to
clean our whole working area for the whole day and that’s what we did.
Day 14:
Day 14 is inspection day the visitors arrived and inspected the whole working area and
looks like they’re satisfied on what they saw. In the afternoon we just continue what we are
doing while the visitors are continuing to inspect us while working.
Day 15:
It’s Friday again so I am excited to go to work. I woke up early and called Shawn. We go
to Jerald’s house and went to the company. After we arrived we do our common job there which
is dismantling and sorting computer parts. Before we go home our boss called us and gave us our
salary.
Day 16:
It’s Monday again and of course I am a little bit lazy but we need to finish our OJT. Our
boss gave us a rare job which is to move a pile of Tupperware to the storage room. Unfortunately
on the last pile we accidentally dropped it and the pile shattered so we need to pick all of those
and put them in the room individually.

SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL
Day 17:
Day 17 is just a common day. We just dismantle and sort computer parts for the whole
day. All of us are talking about our OJT because we’re almost done.
Day 18
It’s Day 18 and only 2 days from now before my training ends. I’m so excited and sad at
the same time because we became close friends to the whole company and we need to leave
them after our training,
Day 19:
In this day Jerald bring some “Kalamay” to the employees for giving thanks to their
warm welcome to us at their company. We ate together with all the employees at lunch time and
enjoyed that moment with them. The employees are talking and they’re so happy.
Day 20:
This is the last day of our OJT but unfortunately not for Leonel because he had some
absent on the last few weeks and he needs to fill those absences in order to end his OJT. We told
our boss if we can join with him at the last day so that he had friends to be with but they don’t
allow us.
