1. Objectives:
The mini project is designed to help students develop practical ability and
working knowledge of practical tools / techniques to solve real life problems
related to the industry, academic institutions and research in the field of
computer science or information technology. Each student needs to take up
this mini project as an individual. Projects could be based on Application
Development Technologies learnt in previous and or present semesters. As
part of the mini project each student will have to prepare proper
documentation consisting of Software Requirements Specification (SRS),
Modeling Techniques, Development Strategies and Implementation
Strategies.
2. Hardware Requirements:
• Pentium-V processor or above
• 2GB RAM
• 160GB Hard Disk
3. Software Requirements:
RDBMS / Back end Tools:
MySQL, Oracle
Languages:
Java
Internet Technologies:
TCP/IP, FTP, Telnet, SMTP, Java, RMI, CORBA, Swing, JSP, Servlets.
Operating Systems:
Windows UNIX, Linux
6. Evaluation
A student will be assessed for the award of Internal Assessment (IA) marks
and also for the end semester exam – University Examination (UE) marks.
