What do you need to make Dry Ice?

Liquid CO2, stored under pressure between 12 – 22 bar in a speciall

designed CO2 Storage Tank.

The insulation can be vacuum or with a PU-insulation.

Tanks are available as vertical or horizontal storage tanks.

Installations of a CO2-Storage Tank?
Process of making dry ice.

Liquid CO2 suddendly depressurized under atmospheric condition will transform into dry ice
and gaseous CO2. The conversion ratio is 40-45% Dry Ice and the rest is CO2-Gas. A
conversion ratio higher than 45% will only be achieved on laboratories condition. The CO2-
Gas can be recovered.

Dry Ice Snow will then mechanically be pressed to form slices, blocks or pellets win various
diameters called Pellets.

Dry Ice Wrapping System:
Type FP44

Every dry ice slice which is used for the Airline Catering must be supplied
wrapped in bags. As the slices are very thin (20mm) the handling is very
delicate. Breakages can be avoided completely by choosing the right machine.

CTS is able to offer complete wrapping

solutions.
Designed and made according to
customer’s request and dry ice
capacity.

We offer full service also on turn-key

basis.
Multi Flexibility on smallest area !
