WORLD ULTRA-DISTANCE RUNNER

As an Ultra-Distance Runner, over more than 3 decades, I have now run in 38

nations. By promoting the message of international friendship and goodwill, some of
the following results have been accomplished:

1. Access to parts of the world not open to "Westerners".

2. Open communications with foreign government leaders.
3. Numerous meetings with political leaders in Wash. D.C.
4. Negotiations in progress with numerous "high profile” countries
to establish trading relationships.
5. Worked to help promote U.S. image abroad.
6. Negotiated contracts with foreign governments that were
"deemed impossible" by business professionals

“Running is a great forum for breaking down walls of

division between people of different cultures.” ~ Stan Cottrell

1984 China - Location: The Forbidden Zone. This part of China was shut off from the
outside world for decades. I was the first foreigner many had ever seen in their lives. This
is the real China I remember… the outpouring of kindness, generosity of spirit & love.
