Uintah River High School, Chartered by the Ute Indian Tribe Ft. Duchesne, Utah
- Taught 9th grade Geography, 10th grade World History, 11th grade U.S. History, Government, and Native American Studies to
a student population that is 90%+ Native American and 80%+ low SES.
- Facilitated students participating in the Utah History Day program with several students competing at the regional
competition.
- Created and implemented multiple policies and programs to better organize our school’s communication/procedures.
- Co-implementer of school safety system/protocols using DIR-S.
- Identifies and provides realistic solutions for many and diverse issues and problems.

- Taught 8th grade U.S. History and Character Education to rural area students with differentiated instruction and scaffolding to
students, some who have disabilities or are part of the foster system.
- Taught 8th grade Honors U.S. History to rural area students who were required, along with learning their curriculum at a more
rigorous pace and depth, to participate in Utah History Day.
- Demonstrating drive to learn through the Driven to Teach Program by going to Boston, MA with other Social Studies
teachers, visiting Washington D.C. on a non-school sponsored trip to gain more insights, and setting up two historical field
trips.
- Professional Learning Committee Leader for a school environment group to help promote pride in the school and a safe,
positive learning environment for the students including helping with SMILE Week (a student-help group against bullying),
posters throughout the school, staff support documents, and assemblies.

Head Girls Soccer Coach June 2014-May 2017

- Head coach for 3 seasons for the girl’s soccer team.
- Building the soccer program from 22 girls to 37 girls.
