Colapso dessas bolhas provoca, na zona de cavitação, ondas de energia de alto cisalhamento e
turbulência. Desta forma, essas microimplosões atuam como um método eficiente no rompimento de
gotículas dispersas maiores em gotículas de tamanho submicrométrico.
