SINOPSIS :
Eksperimen yang dilakukan di dalam kursus ini merangkumi kaedah asas yang penting dalam teknik-
teknik biokimia seperti pengemparan biomolekul, pengukuran pH, penyediaan penimbal serta
pengukuran kuantitatif sebatian biokimia serta analisis kinetik enzim menggunakan kaedah
spektrofotometri. Prinsip biokimia dalam kaedah pengasingan makromolekul seperti kromatografi
dan elektroforesis juga dibincangkan. Kuliah dan tutorial post-mortem diberikan untuk
memantapkan prinsip teori amali yang dijalankan.

Experiments carried out in this course encompasses basic techniques in biochemistry such as in
centrifugation of biomolecules, pH measurements, buffer preparation as well as quantitative
determinations of biomolecules; and kinetic analysis of enzymes using spectrophotometry.
Biochemical principles of separation techniques for biomolecules including chromatography and
electrophoresis are also discussed. Lectures and post-mortem tutorials are given to strengthen the
theoretical principles of the experiments carried out.

HPK 1 Berkebolehan untuk menganalisis prinsip pH dan penimbalan, spektrofotometri,


kromatografi, pengasaian dan kinetik enzim

chromatography, electrophoresis, enzyme assay and kinetics)
HPK 2 Berkebolehan mendemonstrasi kemahiran untuk analisis pH dan penimbal,
pengasaian enzim, penentuan dan pemfraksian protein serta bekerja secara
berkumpulan
(Ability to demonstrate skills in analysis of pH and buffer, enzyme assays, protein
analysis and fractionation; and work as a team)
HPK 3 Berkebolehan untuk menilai hitungan biokimia untuk pH dan penimbal,
pemfraksian protein, pengasaian dan kinetik enzim
(Ability to evaluate biochemical calculations on pH and buffers, protein
fractionation, enzyme assays and kinetics)
HPK 4 Berupaya untuk menganalisis dan menginterpretasi data eksperimen
(Ability to analyse and interpret experimental data)
HPK 5 Berupaya untuk menghuraikan hasil eksperimen secara tepat dalam bentuk
laporan amali
(Ability to elaborate experimental results accurately in the form of a laboratory
report)
