SANGGUNIAN RESOLUTION NO. 2013-004

A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING CITY MAYOR DALE B. CORVERA TO

SIGN THE MEMORANDUM OF AGREEMENT BY AND BETWEEN THE
CITY GOVERNMENT OF CABADBARAN AND THE AVANCEÑA
BENEFICIARIES AND FARMERS MULTI-PURPOSE COOPERATIVE
FOR THE IMPLEMENTATION OF PALAY PRODUCTION AND
TRADING PROJECT

WHEREAS, City Mayor Dale B. Corvera requested for an authority to sign

the Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) between the City Government of Cabadbaran
and the Avanceña Beneficiaries and Farmers Multi-Purpose Cooperative (ABFMPC);

WHEREAS, the Avanceña Beneficiaries and Farmers Multi-Purpose Cooperative

is an active partner of the City Government of Cabadbaran in sustaining agricultural
development in the City particularly in rice farming;

WHEREAS, the City Government of Cabadbaran is committed to support any

organization that would in one way or the other, contributed in realizing the
vision of the City;

WHEREAS, the City has allocated in its Annual Budget an amount of Five
Hundred Thousand Pesos (P500,000.00) to fund the implementation of Palay
Production and Trading Project under the City Agriculture Office;

WHEREAS, the ABFMPC is the recipient of the said fund assistance for the
production component of the project, subject to terms and conditions stipulated in the
Memorandum of Agreement.

NOW THEREFORE

BE IT RESOLVED, by the 3rd Sangguniang Panlungsod, in its 1st Regular

Session assembled, to authorize City Mayor Dale B. Corvera to sign the Memorandum
of Agreement by and between the City Government of Cabadbaran and the
Avanceña Beneficiaries and Farmers Multi-Purpose Cooperative for the
implementation of Palay Production and Trading Project.

RESOLVED FURTHER, to forward a copy of this Resolution to

Hon. Dale B. Corvera, City Mayor for his information and appropriate action.

RESOLVED FURTHERMORE, to provide copies of this Resolution to the

Avanceña Beneficiaries and Farmers Multi-Purpose Cooperative; the City Agriculturist;
the City Budget Officer; the City Accountant and the City Treasurer, all of this City for
their information.
