monitor the DWDM wavelengths
2.7.8 ROADM module shall support zero channels turn up. i.e. the operator must be
able to turn up the entire network without the existence of any channels
2.7.10 The proposed system shall perform active monitoring of the fiber plant on the
network side for changes in fiber properties (attenuation, span length, etc.) and
be able to automatically adjust to changes to fiber loss due to fiber cuts
2.7.11 Proposed solution must not involve any manual adjustment of amplifier gain or
attenuation settings during the life span of the network
2.7.12 The following PM should be supported for wavelength channels that are auto-
created on the line ports and client ports of ROADM modules as a result of the
provisioning of channel cross connections.
