AIMS:

- To check Ss understanding of previous lesson .

- To help Ss recognize previously taught lexical and grammatical structures

OBJECTIVES:

By the end of the lesson, Ss will be able to:

- use correctly the new words.

- scan the text for specific information.

- to read and pay attention to details.

Students with special needs will receive adequate worksheets for their level.

ANTICIPATED PROBLEMS

-The Ss may encounter problems in finding the right form for expressing themselves.

-may be shy or have concentration problems

- may have different problems with the time allotted for each activity.

POSSIBLE SOLUTIONS TO THE PROBLEMS

-In order to clarify the lesson, will be used controlled drills from the textbook and worksheets.

-In order for the listening activity to be efficient, the audio material will be repeated twice or three times if
necessary

-If the time doesn`t allow to finish all the activities, they will be resumed for the next session
-If the Ss finish the assignments faster than expected, they will have additional exercises

AIMS

-to create a warm atmosphere

-to prepare Ss for the new class activity

PROCEDURES

-The teacher salutes the Ss

- The teacher checks the attendance

-The teacher asks Ss if they are prepared for the new class

-The teacher gives indications about how their lesson will start

-The teacher gives the Ss a worksheet with a box they will have to quickly color it and tells them to lock
inside of it all their emotions in order to relax.

STUDENTS

-The students answer the greeting and listen to what the their teacher announces

ACTIVITY 3 – WHILE-READING
AIMS
-To introduce the topic for the current lesson
-To prepare the next activity

PROCEDURES:
TEACHER:
-T tells the Ss to open their textbooks at Unit 10, Wide angle of the world: Six of a kind in order
to read the text.
-When they finished reading it, T asks the Ss what do they think the text was about and if they
encountered problems in understanding the text.

STUDENTS:
-Read the text

ACTIVITY 4- AFTER-READING
AIMS:
-To verify whether the Ss understood the text.
-To introduce new information .

PROCEDURES
TEACHER:
-The teacher tells the Ss to quickly scan the text and write in their notebooks the names of the
sextuplets and their qualities. Then the T displays a flipchart where are written the girls’ names
and she divides the Ss into groups. The T gives to each group one name of the sisters and they
will have to describe her with words found in the text. When they finish the task, each leader
comes in front of the class and writes under the girl’s name the words describing her.

STUDENTS:
-scan the text for specific information.
-work in groups to solve the task given.
TIME: 15 minutes

ACTIVITY 5- PRACTICE
AIMS:
-To make sure the Ss have understood the text.

-The T gives the Ss a worksheet with exercises based on the text they have just written.

-solve the exercises.

ACTIVITY 5
AIMS:
-To check students` listening skills

PROCEDURES
TEACHER
-The T plays a short documentary about the Walton sisters. After seeing it, the Ss will receive a
worksheet based on the information from the video, to check their listening skills.
-The teacher shows the Ss a Power Point Presentation with pictures of the Walton sisters and
asks the Ss how do they think that the sextuplets changed.

STUDENTS
-Listen and watch the documentary then solve the task given.
-Communicate with the T.

FEEDBACK
The T asks the Ss if there are any questions they would like to ask, if they enjoyed the lesson.
