PREFACE

The research project on analysis of “VIDYA SAGAR PUBLIC


SCHOOL”
Consists of the description of various methods and procedure of
admission in different classes according to the age criteria for each
class and written test followed by interview of the shortlisted
students.

The report includes all the information about the organization in


which I interned .
I have made my sincere attempts to collect the relevant facts for
the purpose of organization analysis.

ADMISSION PROCEDURE:
 From 1st to 15th February
 Time: 8am to 12 noon
 ELIGIBILITY:
1. Pre-nursery-2yrs till 30th June
2. Nursery-2.5yrs till 31st March
3. K.G.1-3.5yrs till 31st March
4. K.G.2-4.5 yrs till 31st March
 Birth certificate compulsory
 Transfer certificate from previous school
 Admission fee to be paid after result declaration within 3 days

PROGRESS REPORT

 Academic eligibility for securing the post


One should be graduated with a decent score of 60% and have basic
knowledge of working on computer and command on English
language.

 Work allotted during training


I was allotted a room[office] where I had to sit from 8 am to 12 noon
for 15 days to distribute the admission form and school prospectus to
respective parents from class pre-nursery to KG2 and to collect the
admission form fee and to record all the basic information about the
student for the further process.

 Work Done
In this I was supposed to inform parents about:
1. The last date of submission of admission form.
2. The date on which written test and interview is going to be held
with respective timings.
3. The date of declaration of result.
4. The last date to pay the admission fee.
5. And if required I had to explain them about the various facilities
school provides.

 Difficuties faced during training

 I faced a lot of queries from parents like:

1. Are the kids eligible for the respective classes?(as we had an age
criteria set)
2. Can they directly send their kids to nursery instead of pre-nursery?
3. Will they be able to adjust and learn if directly sent to nursery?
4. What all documents are need to be attached with the form?
5. What is the strength of each class?
6. Can they get a concession in fees if they have a single girl child?
7. One of them wanted to know if there is any muslim child in
school?(as the parent doesn’t wanted his child to study with a
muslim)
8. Adhar card no. issues(if not applied then,what all they can do as it
was compulsory to mention the adhar card no. in the admission
form)

 I even faced difficulty while collecting the cash payment for


admission form and did blunder ones in 15 days of Rs.600.

 At times it was difficult to handle parents behavior.


Arguing over pen, asking us to fill the basic information form,
asking for admission in KG2 when there was unavailability of
seats, requesting us to give form for nursery when their kid is
eligible for pre-nursery, etc.

 Step taken to face those challenges

1. First of all I tried to give them valid answer.


2. I made them understood that there will not be much
problem if their kid go directly to nursery. I asked them
to atleast give the basic knowledge to the kid.
3. I explained them each and every document to be
attached with the form.
4. As many parents wanted to know the strength of the
class I answered them with the rough figure of 34-36
students in per section.
5. In case of concession of fee I told them that there is no
such rule.
6. To the parent who asked me about the muslim kids
being in school I told them that it is not allowed to
disclose such information and secondly they should not
bother about it but instead they should teach their kid
equality.
7. On the queries related to adhar card I asked them to
apply for it as soon as possible.
8. And asked them to fill the basic information form by
themselves.

 My experience with the organization

Vidya Sagar Public School is an unforgettable place for me. The


minute I entered this school it was both exciting and nostalgic.
Exciting as I was going to work over there for coming few days, and
nostalgic because I was ones at the same place growing and learning.

Coming over to the admission process in which I was appointed as a


trainee. It was a very new and good experience for me. I learned how
to interact with parents who were concerned about their child. At
times I had to explain them various things regarding admission
procedure.

I also learned how to be patient, polite, how to interact with parents


on their level. I also came to know about how things actually work in
School and various age eligibility set for each class.

The people working over there made me felt so acceptable.


I even got scolded for not paying attention. After that I took a lot of
care regarding all my work.

CONCLUSION

The past days of my internship have been very instructive for


me. VPS has offered me opportunities to learn and develop
myself in many areas. Here I got training under the admission
cell. I learnt their procedure of how admissions are given , what
is the criteria for each class and how kids perform in interview
as the selection is based on that.
I learnt to be polite, patient, and even indulged leadership and
communication skills.

INTERNSHIP HELPS ME LEARN ABOUT MYSELF:
Before my internship started my ideas did not match the experiences
have gained during my internship . There is a big difference in the
college projects and the tasks and activities during the actual work. In
college we learn how to describe the work in projects,where in work you
learns how to implement them in reality. This internship was definitely
an introduction to the actual work field for me . I have learned to work
in school and apply my knowledge into practice. I learned a lot from the
different people that I have been working with during my internship.
Through an internship ,I can gain clarity on my strengths ,weakness ,and
interests.

APPLY CLASSROOM KNOWLEDGE:


An internship can be seen as the pinnacle of your undergraduate
education and give you the chance use the skills you have learned in the
real world setting. It’s a chance to prove the worth of your qualifications
and to show that you can perform in the role I have been given.

INTERNSHIP HELP ME DEVELOP BETTER WORK
HABIT:
Through an internship , I will learn how to manage tasks/projects and
learn how to carry myself in a professional environment . I can also
learns from your colleagues by observing my positive and negative work
habits.
My internship at VPS has taught me more than I could have imagined .
As the Cashier intern,I feel my duties were diverse , and ever-changing .
Sometimes it’s tough to recall everything I have taken in over the past
days , but I feel that these are some of the most beneficial lessons I Have
learned.

I really enjoyed attending this internship and this was definitely an


experience to remember . This internship was definitely beneficial for
me and I’m grateful and thankful that I got to experience and learn many
things.
