COURSE DESCRIPTION
This course will introduce you to statistics as a science of understanding and analyzing data. You will learn how to make use of,
collect and analyze data to make inferences and conclusions about real world phenomena.
COURSE Anti-PREREQUISITE(S)
Pre-requisite: Calculus I
Anti-requisite: Statistics or Probability and Statistics
Learning Outcomes
Gain understanding of the importance of data collection, recognize the limitation in data collection and how these impact
inference
Use statistical software STATA to perform data analysis
Conceptually understand statistical inference
Apply testing methods to analyze single variables and relationship between two variables
Understanding different data types and the methods to perform inference in each type of data
Understanding simple regression
