COURSE DESCRIPTION
This course will introduce you to statistics as a science of understanding and analyzing data. You will learn how to make use of,
collect and analyze data to make inferences and conclusions about real world phenomena.

COURSE Anti-PREREQUISITE(S)
Pre-requisite: Calculus I
Anti-requisite: Statistics or Probability and Statistics

Learning Outcomes

 Gain understanding of the importance of data collection, recognize the limitation in data collection and how these impact
inference
 Use statistical software STATA to perform data analysis
 Conceptually understand statistical inference
 Apply testing methods to analyze single variables and relationship between two variables
 Understanding different data types and the methods to perform inference in each type of data
 Understanding simple regression

Exam The course will have 4 exams. Each will be 20% of the grade and will be administered at equal intervals during the
semester.
