FAULT CODE 2191 - Intake Manifold Absolute Pressure Sensor Disagrees with the Compressor Outlet
Pressure Sensor - Condition Exists
Associated Procedures
CAUTION
To reduce the possibility of damaging a new engine control module (ECM), all other active fault codes must be investigated prior to replacing an ECM.
CAUTION
To reduce the possibility of pin and harness damage, use the following test leads when taking a measurement: Part Number 3164752 - Danfoss™ pressure
sensor breakout cable, Part Number 3824773 - Kavlico™ pressure sensor breakout cable, Part Number 3822758 - male Deutsch™/AMP®/Metri-Pack™ test
lead, and Part Number 3822917 - female Deutsch™/AMP®/Metri-Pack™ test lead.
Troubleshooting Steps
STEPS SPECIFICATIONS
STEP 1. Check the fault codes.
STEP 1A. Check for an inactive fault code. Fault Code 2191 active?
STEP 1B. Check for multiple active/inactive active fault codes. Fault Codes 153, 154, 155, 263, 265, 354, 355, 488, 546, 547, 783, 1737, 1739, 2427,
2428, 2517, 2518, 2568, 2569, 2799, and/or 2812 active/inactive?
STEP 2. Inspect the air filters for excessive restriction
STEP 2A. Check the engine air filter restriction. Engine air filter restricted?
STEP 2B. Check the engine room or container air inlet filter restriction, if Engine room or container air inlet filter restricted?
installed.
STEP 3. Check the exhaust emissions.
STEP 3A. Measure the exhaust emissions. Exhaust emissions to specification?
STEP 4. Inspect the turbocharger(s).
STEP 4A. Inspect the turbocharger(s) for damage or excessive wear. Turbocharger(s) damaged or out of specification?
STEP 5. Check the exhaust restriction.
STEP 5A. Check the exhaust back pressure. Exhaust back pressure exceeds specification?
STEP 6. Check the aftercooler.
STEP 6A. Check the aftercooler for restriction. Aftercooler core restricted or damaged?
