General
Validity of the document
This document describes how to install the
drivers for the "PEAK CAN dongle (USB)",
identification number 8 438 087. The CAN
dongle is required for the KION Warehouse
Systems GmbH CAN bus trucks diagnostic
software. The CAN dongle drivers can be in-
stalled and used on Windows XP or Windows
7 operating systems. The connecting cable
("CAN bus diagnostics adaptor cable", iden-
tification number 8 392 452) must be ordered
separately.

Installation sequence
Following the correct sequence
The Windows system driver for the CAN
dongle must be installed before installing
the help programs and the drivers for the
diagnostics. This is described in the chapter
entitled "Installing the Windows system
driver".
Only after the successful installation of the
Windows system driver should the additional
drivers and programs be installed, as de-
scribed in the chapter entitled "Installing the
help programs and driver files for diagnostics."
