occupancy of 89.24%. The calculated profit for 2018 is $1.14 billion.
The business description is that the company is developing industrial infrastructure, and
helping in the growth of new industries and existing businesses. Jurong Port Pte, Ltd.
and SLI Holdings Pte, Ltd. are the subsidiary companies of Jurong Island that are fully
owned (100% shareholding). The main business function of Jurong Port Pte, Ltd. is that
it is multipurpose port operator that handles general, bulk, and containerized cargo,
while SLI Holdings Pte. Ltd. is an investment holding company.
BUSINESS MODEL
The business model of Jurong Island is to generate income through rental and lease of
industrial space such as ready-built factories and lands, and business pack and
warehouses. It uses both the master lease and multi-tenancy lease structures. It also
allows sub-letting and that a tenant needs to occupy the majority of the space of not
less than 50%. Lessees are expected to operate for not less than five years after
satisfying the investment criteria.
